The Home Course
About
The Home Course in DuPont is considered one of the best public golf courses in Washington. Throughout the walkable layout, golfers will enjoy scenic views of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier. It's a long course at 7,424 yards from the back tees. The challenging greens play fast and true, and they are complemented by wide fairways with generous landing areas. There are several challenging holes where you'll face strategically placed bunkers and subtle, but tricky elevation changes. The golf course begins with a few open, parkland holes and then it gets more challenging. The seventh hole is one of the toughest, starting from an elevated tee to a green that is neatly tucked behind a lake. The final holes provide stunning mountain views for a memorable finish.

Really is a dry course in winter.
Like many other NW golfers, now is the time that we really start getting the urge to get back out on the course. But not every course can handle the rains like The Home Course. I was very impressed with the overall course conditions and that even after 3 straight days of rain leading up to our tee time it was still a manageable round with not 1 golf ball lost to a plug in the fairway. Some wet spots, yes, but overall as dry as we could have hoped for.
grow old on this course!
Even though we got a screaming deal on Golf Now for this round, NOTHING can make waiting to hit EVERY shot worth it!!!! We were playing as a 3-some and did not finish the front 9 for greater than 2 hours and 35 minutes! We were unable to play all 18 holes for darkness!
senic round
rained all day -greens were in good condition and the ball rolled good- course was really dry compared to some others I've played recently.great course and really good value for a senior
Nice place
Seems to drain well. Links style. Greens rolled true. Check Doppler to avoid rain, we got lucky today.
Great conditions
Great course, amazing conditions all around. Not the best weather that day but still had a great time! Will definitely play this again!!
Great Track, fix the bathrooms
If this truly is Washington's Home Course, then let's have facilities up to snuff. Hook up the utilities and and have only real restrooms on the course Porta Potties have no place on a course this nice. Women cannot go in the woods like guys. Otherwise, like the course a lot.
Great Course
Although the course is great the snack bar's service was poor.
Great course and challenging but...
I've been playing here for years and love the course but the services just aren't up to par with the quality of the course. At 60$ per round walking and plenty of unlimited monthly paying customers still no club house or restaurant for drinks and food after the round leaves me wondering why... Great course just really needs to step it's game up on that club house we've all been hearing about for years!
Very Forgiving
I took the drive from kitsap to play here and it was definitely worth the drive. The greens were a little tore up because of people not repairing their ball marks. We played the twilight time at 315pm and there was no water out on the course. Fairways were nice, not too hard. For the 90 degree weather and beating sun this summer, this course was not bad at all. Nice course to walk because you don't have to walk very far from hole to hole. I will definitely go back.
Great Course
The course is challenging but not difficult. Wide fairways and challenging greens. The pace of play was good, staff was great. I would definitely play this course again.
Weekend golf
All golf courses need to spread out tee times or have better marshals so pace of play is enforced. Golf is becoming not very fun when you have to wait 10-15 min before you can hit your ball every single time. It's a nice course though.
Great course...
I had heard about The Home Course for awhile and finally had the opportunity to play. What a great course...excellent conditions, layout and views. No clubhouse yet...but the course and playing experience overshadow any lack of facilities. I will definitely be going back as this is my new favorite.
Wonderful Course, extremely slow play
This is one of the outstanding courses in Washington with challenging holes, greens that are fast and true, and enough tee boxes for anyone.
My only complaint is that we waited on nearly every shot. It took over 5-1/2 hours to complete our round.
Fun and challenging with great views on a clear day.
A little course knowlege goes a long way here. I played it a few times and I want to keep coming back. Fun course that makes you use all your clubs. The only real downside is that there is no clubhouse.
Great day on a wonderful course.
Weather and course conditions were excellent.
Love playing this course. Great for all levels of golfers.
Wish my son-in-law was with me. He loves playing the course.
Great Course
Played at 8:30 a.m. and finished 30min ahead of the pace of play. It has been extremely hot and dry here for over a month and the course didn't show it. Beautiful green fairways and greens. Very well maintained. As an added bonus it is always cool to see the Choppers and Bombers flying over. Lots of wind coming off the Puget Sound so keep the ball low. The only thing that wasn't great was that the food trailer was closed the whole time we were there. Could have used a beer and a dog after 9. Also no clubhouse. Kind of odd for such a nice course
Excellent course
The Home Course is definitely one of the top courses in the South Sound. The course design is excellent as it is challenging but fun for the average golfer. The round will take longer than most other courses, but pace of play never seems to be an issue. It does look like there is something going on with the grass around the course. It looks like there are 2 types of grasses on the fairways which makes them look unhealthy. However, this does not seem to affect their play. The clubhouse needs to be completed as well as they have been open for too long to be operating out of trailers.
I would always recommend this course be played if visiting the area.
Excellent condition for this warm summer
I was impressed with the course still being in good shape with the lack of water we've had this year.
THE Home Course!
The home course played as great as it usually does, but when you throw in the drier conditions it'll throw you a curve.
2 and half hours doesn't seem horrible, but i guess for that time of year is a little long
