Candler Hills Golf Club

Challenging but fair course. Pace was very good. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all good. Staff friendly and accommodating. Played first three holes in light rain with rumbles of thunder not to far away but rest of the day just cloudy , hot and humid (Florida).

Courses and greens are in excellent condition. The course layout is flat and somewhat boring.

First time playing, was in great shape, not a bad price thru golfnow.

Love this course. Conditions are the best we’ve seen in Central FL. No water hazards but plenty of sand traps. Generous fairways and rough is not punishing. Will go back again.

Surprised at how great the course was! suffered the heat 1:40 hot deal under $40.

For summertime in hot Florida this place is mint. Greens rolled beautifully. The only knock was a group of 4 members that played so slow and would not allow anyone to play through. We asked the ranger if there was anything holding them up and he said no there were 3 open holes in front of them and he asked them to pick up the pace. Him asking didn’t work. We had a 1:50 tee time they had 1:40. By the second hole we were waiting on every shot until we finished. Made for a long afternoon. But the course is in great condition.

This is one of my favorite courses in Ocala. There are some very challenging holes and some that are easier, but it is very fair - if you are hitting well, you will score well. If you are going left or right, you will have a long day.

We were only able to play three holes today before the weather, which initially looked to be going around us, hit us full force. We were able to get a refund and will certainly go back. I have played this course at least 100 times and really enjoy it.

The course is in superb condition…probably the bed in the area…within 30 miles!

Second time playing this course. Green's a bit slow (not turtle speed). But other than that, the conditions were excellent. It doesn't live up to all the hype, but for the right price (mid 40's), I'll come back as often as possible. I inquired about membership options. For a resident it's good 👍 & fair. But not very good for non-residents & seasonal. Also, I booked as a single & was paired with a great 3-some. Enjoyed the round very much.

Been golfing at Candler Hills since my wife and I moved to Florida 6 years ago.The course is always in top-notch.condition.The staff could not be more helpful and courteous. Always enjoy taking friends to play their.Often as a single player I have been paired with other players or members and have throughly enjoyed their company..A 1st class operation.

Very enjoyable time both on the course and the dinning after.
