Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course

So greens where slow bumpy and in rough shape, i get it that happens and golf advisor warned me going in. None of the outside ops staff even came to the bag drop just looked up from the shade when i pulled up and i got my bag and took them down myself. Did the same to the three cars after me. 100 degree day. No ice in the cart cooler in the three carts i checkef guess its grab your own cart there. No water on the course to refill what i did bring thankfully i brought a bottle saw the bev cart once on the 9th fairway. No starter to be found so just checked my phone and when it was time just went. Got to listen to music from other groups some of them 200 yards away no course ranger to be found people want music fine but i shouldnt have to be subjected to terrible speed metal from 2 faiways over. Joined the group in front of me as we and everyone behind us waited for the foursome in front of them with four open holes we passed them at the turn. 2:40 first nine. 1:25 second nine. no one addressed any of this stuff. Guess that was our job too just like everything else. It would be a 1 star but the layout is solid. Its a real DIY experience so dont expect a high end or even passible experience not what you would expect service wise in the Phoenix area. Dont think i will be back.

Nice public golf course. We played in early April so it was still pretty dry with a fair amount of bald spots. It should get better when they start watering.

Really enjoyed the course. Greens were excellent. Fairly wide open but good value.

The course is nice and the condition of the fairways and green's was great. I just think for $100 a round there are a lot more options out there.

though we had sprinkles to begin with, the sun peeked through just in time. The course layout was explained by the steward. Pace of play was good until the back nine with a foursome snuck in front of us ( apparently after they spent time in the clubhouse) the steward interceded and suddenly, the pace returned to normal.

The course was in great shape. Greens were fast and fairways green.

Looking for reasonably priced golf in the Phoenix area during Spring Training can be crazy but this course checked all the boxes. Decent course and price. It was in great shape and played in just under 4 hours. I’ll be back and play it again.

One of few courses that give senior discounts, yay! Most of the grass areas are in good condition. Did observe people are filling their divots on the fairways. Some people are driving carts into the desert which is not recommended. Would like to see more concentration on picking up trash, only two bathrooms which need refreshing. No water on the course but there is a beverage cart. Played 18 in 4.5hrs, nice pace. Overall good track!

Greens and fairways were excellant. Pretty dry in the rough. Pace was great-31/2 hrs. Staff very friendly and people I paired with were a lot of fun. For the right price I highly recommend

Staff was extreely nice . Course did bot live up to billing. Tee boxes like concrete. Lack of sand in traps. Grass on fairway, but 1 foot off fairway….no grass… desert dirt. Greens were extremely hard. Balls would not hold.
