Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course
About
The Bear Course is one of two courses at the Bear Creek Golf Complex; it is a championship-length course while the other, the Cub Course, is an executive length course. The Bear Course is an inland, links-style course with rolling fairways and well-manicured greens. Strategically placed bunkers situated throughout the course add some challenge to the course. A round of golf on this course can be played in less than four hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex, in addition to the two courses, also offers a full grass driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Overbooked
Our tee time was at 2:06, when we got to the tee at 2pm there was a group in the green, on the fairway, on the tee box and had a twosome in front of us. At 2:04 we were still waiting and the starter said we would make our time, in what works? We teed off at 2:30 and were backed up all round and stopped at 14 due to being out of light. No rain check or discount offered however the manager reached out to my review stating they were only 6 minutes behind and if we want to finish a round we should play at 12pm or sooner. It’s unfortunate because it’s a nice course but paying $75+ to be backed up all day is not worth it. I would have played again until the manager tried to justify everything.
Fun layout
Staff was great
Greens fairways and bunkers were good but if you missed fairway it was just droed put desert.
Nice variety of holes with rolling fairways
Had a very pleasant round with the people I was paired with and pace was great(just over 4 hrs)
Frost delay
The Pace was slow due to frost delay but the pace picked up on the back nine and was better.
Nice, fun track
Not the most difficult course hut a fun course to plsy. A little desert, wide fairways, and some elevation changed.
Great course
The course was in great shape and the pace was fabulous
Meh
Firstly, my GolfNow booking was not on the Bear Creek tee sheet, though I had both my confirmation number and email. Major fail. I was a single, so getting out was ultimately not an issue, just had to wait 50 minutes. Food in the meantime was so so, but at least the grill was open. As a visitor to the area, had to rent sticks. Over 50 bucks for a mismatched set of Pings (upgrade over $30 for a trash set). Practice facility is nice!
Yardage on the course is not marked except for 150 poles mid fairway. If you aren’t packing a laser or other yardage device, you’re playing blind unless you want to pace off every approach from the buck-fifty. There are a handful of blind shots from the tee, which actually makes the layout interesting. Tees and fairways were in good shape. Greens were puttable but the roll isn’t very true or consistent. The contour and roll of the greens is NOT for the first timer.
There’s better golf to be played in the area. I hope.
First time player
I play through the valley and always looking for a course that is reasonably priced, in good condition, fair pace of play and a nice layout. My game ranges from the low 80s to the high 80s. This course hit all my markers and will play again. It’s a course that has a lot of levels and elevation so playing at least once is an advantage. I liked the course. Rate was very fair for the valley in winter.
Bear Creek
Golf course was and is always in great condition. Pace of play is good, saw the ranger 3 times. I actually did a double header, played the Bear and then the Cub course. 75 degrees and sunny 18 was just not enough.
Great course but slow pace on weekends
First time playing here. Shot my best round!! Love the layout and the views at this course are amazing. Only thing that was rough was the pace of play. Most likely due to the weekend so if you have a chance, maybe come here on a Weekday
Bear creek
This is a great warm up course. Tees, fairways greens are in decent condition.
The only delta was the pace of play which hit the wall around 14. We ended up at 4:50 after breezing thru the first 13.
Bear creek
Fairways, tees and greens were all in decent shape. Pace of play was good until we hit hole 15.
We crawled in. This is a decent course at the price point. I I’ll play it again.
