Better and better
First time this season playing Rondout, but surely not the last! Many improvements and outstanding course conditions. Greens, tees and fairways all lush and manicured.
love the track
been here atleast once a year for 4 years. greens not up to past experience. for the price can definitely look past this. one of my favorite layouts. a must for value and challenge for average golfer.
roundout country club
we arrived at 9:30 Am ( this course is an hour away from my home) and proceeded to pay. The owner let us know that the threesome ahead of us was currently the only group out ( most of the courses in our area are suffering from major damage due to the severity of last winter) we teed up and found the group ahead of us waiting to let us through (we were 2) the course was in great condition but still needed mowing in spots.
That was the only complaint I could make about conditions but there were 4 or 5 Maintenance men working all over the course. It was a very enjoyable @ 1/2 hour round( going back next week)

Fairways were non existent. Greens were very good. Definitely not a 4.2 rating, but overall good for the money.

Fair play fairways
Challenging and forgiving, a nice forward tee player advantage. Views are very nice and relaxing. Staff is friendly and considerate. The food portions are delicious and very generous.
Roundout Golf Course
I'd like to give the actual course a better review, because the staff is great; Very friendly, you could not ask for more. The course, well, I liked the first four or five holes, but then it was sort of like playing the same type holes over. I think with adding a few more fairway and greenside traps to add definition to some of the holes would go a long way. If you've never played here, give it a shot when you see discounted prices.
Best Value in Upstate NY by far!!
The views of the Mountains are spectacular. All kind of holes, uphill, downhill, water, sand traps, doglegs, etc. Very well maintained (except for the cart paths). My wife and I play Thursday afternoons for 15$/each. You can't beat this value anywhere in the Hudson Valley. We highly recommend this course.
