Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

If you want to play a fast, cheap round, this is your course
The staff seem unaware. They checked in two people for my single reservation and it took them 5 minutes to rectify the problem. There was no starter, so I played solo behind another single player. I never saw anyone else on the course except for the lawn maintenance staff. Only good thing about playing this course is I finished in 3 hours and 10 minutes.
Course was in poor condition
Have not played the course in several years, it has the condition of the course has really deteriorated. The greens were almost unplayable.
Goat Track
I haven't played a course in worse condition in years. Clearly they either have a financial or grass disease issue. Almost no live grass. The greens were bumpy and dead. The traps were like concrete.
If we had been warned about the conditions, we certainly would not have paid to play.
Truly unfortunate. I've always enjoyed the course because you can score on it and there are a good variety of holes. Now I would not return unless significant improvements were made.
Terrible conditions
For spring, the conditions at this course were horrific. Greens were trash, fairways were brown. Felt like every shot was taken off dirt. Wouldn’t recommend.
What has happened to course?
I've played Coldwater for many years. Three weeks ago it was in good condition, lush green fairways and greens. But Monday it was all dried up and brown, similar to a course just before re-seeding. It appears that it has not been watered for some time.
Save your money
Oh boy where do I start. Tee boxes were mostly overgrown and patchy. The fairways were mostly dead. Great for the ball to run forever, not so much to hit off of. The greens were probably in the worst shape. They were mostly burnt with small tiny patches of grass. When putting, your ball would change direction, bounce, and lose speed depending on what you were putting through.
Course conditions
Course very dry. Needs water.l Lots of dry grass and brown spots, even on greens.
Water
The greens were fast due to them having been sprayed with seeds & fertilizer. Many brown bare spots in the fairways & close to many of the greens. Overall the course needs some work done to it.
Coldwater
Very dry, dire need of watering. Greens were the worst I've ever seen them. will not be back anytime soon. Staff is great though.
Terrible course don’t waste your money!
It looks like they don’t use a drop of water. The greens are in terrible shape. The absolute worst course in the phoenix area
Do Not Play
Ever since the new ownership this course has steadily gone down hill. Tee boxes are divot filled and dry (very little grass). Fairways were dry and more than not you were hitting off dirt. Even with watering now the course will never come back for this season. The greens were dry, bumpy, and not true. I definitely would not recommend this course this year. This used to be a fair course to play, but has lost my interest. Don’t waste your money!!!!
terrible course conditions
I have played here quite a bit in the past and always enjoyed it. This time was very frustrating, as the course was/is in terrible condition. The fairways and greens were all pretty much dead grass and dirt. The greens were like putting on ice & it’s never fun to be in the middle of the fairway only to be hitting off of dirt.
Course was horrible.
Between the tee boxes , fairways and greens it was all around terrible.
Disappointed!
This was the worst greens I've played on this year. What happened to the course? It is in terrible shape and summer isn't here yet!
What happened to the Couse!
The greens were the worst I've ever seen at Coldwater. What happened?
