Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Mar 8 2024 Round
Scale 1-10
Tee boxes - 5
Fairways- 9
Greens - 7
Bunkers - didn’t get in any
Cart Path - 10
Always like layout and friendliness of folks at course. Greens were not up to my past experiences - very bumpy.
Good value
Layout was interesting, not very attractive surroundings. Tee boxes and fairways were very good, greens really bumpy. Pretty good value for high season. Would do it again.
Fair
The fairways were pretty decent. The greens looked moth-eaten. We had little interaction with staff so no comment. Seems overpriced but everything has gone up.
Subpar greens
Conditions have gone downhill from previous years. Greens are scruffy and bumpy. Tee boxes are ragged. Rough is rough, so no issue there. Some bunkers very hard. The only decent areas of the course are the fairways. I grade those a C because there are some bare areas, but they’re mostly playable with decent lies. Course needs to fix the greens so the ball rolls instead of bouncing and bobbling.
Nice Course
I like the course, they could maintain the rough and off fairways better, but if you stay on the fairway, the course is well worth the money. Tees and traps always need work. For the money, its a great course for the average golfer.
Disappointing
Course conditions were disappointing. The fairways were fine, but the rough was nonexistent. The greens were firm and the turf was rough, but playable. We had scheduled another round due to the reasonable cost, but cancelled after playing the rouind.
greens and tee boxes are in poor condition fairways ae fine.
course is not a good value compared to Amy other course in area for same price
Too bad..
Absolutely awesome design for the track, reminds me of dune courses back home. Everyone working the shop is so nice and accommodating. For the bad… we started on one at 2:00pm, things went smooth for maybe 4 holes until we ran into multiple groups on every hole after. Round took 4 hours and 45 minutes. I can put up with all of that, no problem, but these have to be some of the worst rolling greens in the valley, and that’s the one no for me..
greens need work
Whoever cut the holes that day did not know what they were doing. Pins would not seat in the cup. The ranger said the holes were too deep. Some of the cups were above the edge of the hole. The greens were very hard, and putts bounced on the line to the cup. Pace of play was very good which was a pleasant surprise. We finished in just under 4 hours. The rest of the course was fine.
$90 for Bone Dry Course
They seemed to have turned off the water for weeks!!! Worse than summer conditions! This is a nostalgic place for me and my friend, so much that we were willing to pay $90 for an afternoon round. Looking back, I would’ve been hard pressed to pay $25. I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED that they charged such a high amount AND NOT EVEN share the courses condition. I feel like they are more concerned about the money than the customer. It’ll be years until nostalgia takes me back to Coldwater! 😞
Horrible course conditions
Course looks like it was never maintained. Might as well putt with your eyes closed. Worst condition course u r ever played on and that’s says a lot.
Greens are hard and ruff
Some tee boxes bad shape
Poor conditons
Very disappointed… greens were super hard… I hit a lot of greens with good height and good spin.
I pride myself in that however only 2 greens on your course held the ball… others bounced and roll off the greens.
Putting surfaces very poor.
Tee boxes very poor as well
Not coming back until I see reviews stating these issues have been resolved
Needs some TLC
Course layout is good and speed of play above average but new ownership must focus on greens and fringe around greens as they need a lot of work. Not difficult to get a tee time, perhaps due to mentioned issues…
