McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

Slow
Course in nice shape. Greens rolled true. Must hit fairways to score because the rough is thick and the natural areas are knee-waist high and any ball finding it is a penalty. Love the layout as it’s so much different than most of the other courses in South Jersey. Starter said they aim for a 4hr 15 min pace and we were about 5hrs 15 min. First time in many times playing that I ran into that issue. Seemed like Marshall’s really didn’t want to push the large group of 5 foursomes in front of us despite their extremely slow play.
Always a challenging course with the wind, but a fun place to play. Course was in very good shape overall, especially considering heavy play. Great spacing on times, with tee boxes set up fairly for any level of player.
Hole 15
It is impossible to go and down the sides of the fairway on hole 15.. Need to put some hand rails or steps or something so you are able to get down and up without hurting yourself. I can not imagine that you have not had some injuries from people getting hurt from going down and up on the side of the fairway. You should consider fixing this possible hazard.
The course is in excellent condition. The greens are very challenging but are fun to play. Some areas are still a little wet but overall it is a very enjoyable course to play.
March Golf was Good!
We arrived five minutes late, but the starter was very cool about it. There was a slight delay of the first tee, so our late arrival did not affect other start times. We were paired with another twosome. The course has several blind tee shots. Our playing partners had played the course previously, so their local knowledge was a big help. Fairways were very short, as the grass had yet to fully grow in. Greens were fast and many were extremely undulating. Pin placements were often very challenging. The course has a couple of relatively long par three's. No ball washers due to pandemic. Most bunkers were raked. Overall, the course was in very good condition for a March round of golf. Will be back and would recommend you play this course.
Rangers are awful
I have read several reviews about the rangers and I want to add. We finished our round in exactly 4 hours and twenty minutes. Those clowns told us to pick up the pace around 5 times throughout the round and threatened to make us skip a hole when there was NOBODY BEHIND US. Very rude and obnoxious, I do not want to return which is a shame. If the ownership cares enough to reach out and apologize I will consider taking this down.
British Open
It was so windy, I thought I was playing in the open!
Great course
Great course not to far from Philadelphia. Very friendly staff and great condition
Real Scottish feel
We had light rain, 20 mph winds, and excellent course conditions. And a great lunch at the bar. Outstanding experience.
Fantastic egg harbor township golf
About 25 minutes from AC, I am from north jersey and this was the only course I haven’t played yet. It was a great value at $45 for November, but the wind was howling that day and made scoring difficult. Lost about a dozen balls but I lost track. Very firm and no trees except for two holes which go through the woods across the street. Links style. Forgot the fairway was split on one hole and hit a driverslice into the right fairway that I didn’t realize was even there. You need a gps to really appreciate the layout, it takes a learning curve with elevation changes and blind shots. But the course conditions were great and greens were the fastest I putt on all year. Definitely challenging and worth the return trip.
