Greens were perfect
Felt like they were rolling. Had enough zip on chips and pitches around the greens to check and stop. Best conditions I’ve played in this year around the a Houston area
Great views and landscape
The course is great, very challenging but still fun. You have some blind shots so hit them straight.
Wildcat never disappoints
Great day on the course. Course conditions in great shape and greens were awesome. Tough time of year in H-town but the greens were perfect.
Loved it!
Plenty of challenge without making me feel it's above my level of play. Great wind down sitting on the patio afterwards.
Is definitely on the go to regular list
Love this layout and the course was in great shape, really cool views. The need for shot placement made it very interesting
Wonderful course
It was nice day to play golf.
Green are so nice. Fairway are wonderful.
No complaints.
Everything are beautiful.
Slow play dumb layout
Pace was so bad. 5+ hours. Layout is ridiculous now gps on carts and terrible layout of the holes.
Always happy at Wildcat
We often play here because it’s so close to home. You can rarely get snagged in a slow pace of play crowd, it otherwise, this course is a sure-fire hit. We were surprised the course was in a good a condition as it was. Compares favorably with much more expensive and private clubs.
Sunday at the Masters pin placement on a Monday
Really enjoyed the Highlands course. I played with a fellow crew member that I tour with on the road. For winter conditions, the course was in great shape. Some of the pins were tucked or cut right at the top of a ridge or hill, which added strokes. A map of the greens is highly recommended for newcomers. Staying under the hole or on the correct side of the green is the difference between a par and a triple! The staff there are friendly and attentive. The practice green by the range didn't quite match the slickness of the greens on the Highlands course, but I bet that the one right by the first tee did. I will roll a few putts there instead next time. The practice mats had some give. They weren't hard as a rock. I always appreciate that when you're not allowed to hit off grass. The sand was consistent and fair. I will be back to knock some strokes off my score next week!
Slow play
All I can say is you tee off and then end up waiting on every hole from #3 on. it got so bad that 3 groups were on #7 the par 3. We decided to go #12 where it was wide open. I spoke to marshall several times he said a 2 some was holding everyone up. Oh well course is great just need to regulate pace of play.
