Played a very hot, Hot Deal
I have zero complaints about the Lakes course at Wildxar. Fairways and greens in terrific shape. We played on a 100 degree day, but still enjoyed the day. Can't wait to get back out there again soon.
Great round at Wildcat
Wildcat Lakes is an atypical course for Houston with fairways to go up or down from the tee box. It has a very good and challenging combination of water hazards, bunkers, dog legs and thick green areas - I would not recommend it for a beginner but surely a nice change for an intermediate/superior player who wishes to try something different in Houston

Sprinklers always going off
The sprinklers must have been on a timer similar to our tee time. We teed off at 9:35 but encountered the sprinklers on at least 7 or 8 holes.

Fun chalky layout
Really enjoyed playing the Lakes course. Completely different than the Highlands side. Fun challenging layout. Great shape. Will be back soon

Crones take
The course was in good shape, even though it had rained two days prior to the round. The layout was challenging, even from the white tees. Very good views. The carts were above the usual grade; they had club covers, which came in handy when it started to rain.

The staff was very helpful and the course was in great shape. Definitely on my top five list for Houston area courses!!!

Step up
I know Wildcat has some huge sponsors and host a lot of tournaments. The course can be better and taken care of like the expectation of the sponsors who put a lot of revenue into the course.

Fantastic Staff
There are as error with my tee time when I arrived (my mistake). The staff (Marcus) was “quick on his feet” and resolved the situation despite the fact that he was under no obligation. They got us on the course almost immediately and he could not have been more gracious.

The water course
Got a discounted rate for the Lakes Course. Second time playing Wildcat. Played in foursome with a couple who calls Wildcat their home course. This was helpful as the round proceeded. Water comes into play on a number of holes. Hole 9 is very long and hard to vision. Hole 11 was also challenging as well as 16-18th. The greens were very fast in the afternoon after a tournament had concluded. Noticed a couple of greens with bare areas and also what looked like tire marks on a number of greens. Could have been from a mower or other machinery. Late afternoon pace was O-K. Looking forward to playing Highlands Course in the future.
