Good greens and bunkering
Have played 10 courses in the Daytona area in the past three weeks and these were the best greens found to date. The layout and deep bunkers make this course quite challenging. The fairways are a touch thin now but this is a minor issue. New housing development is also a slight distraction on the back nine - but that is progress. A fun course to play - even has some terrain. Will definitely play again.
Awful Shape
Just shocking how bad this once great course has gotten. It is clear new ownership and management is needed. After 5 years this crew has managed to make the course unplayable.
Do not play this course until major price drop
So sad to see a once TOP golf course crumble. They need to replace greens at this point. NOT more fertilizer BUT replace.
Amajor major drop in price has to happen to even think about playing this course.
Victoria Hills
I know they are working on the course but the course is in terrible condition. Most of the greens are unputtable. The fairways have little to no grass. I’m hoping they can get it back to what it once was - nice course.
Front side greens were the worst I have ever seen in Florida!!
Disappointed
Worst front nine I’ve ever played. Don’t know how they will fix these greens.
great track
Front nine was dry dry dry. Some greens were rolled sand traps. Some had grass. Back nine was in much better condition.
Greens like a beach.
The course itself had seen better days. Unfortunately one of the green keepers informed us that on numerous holes the greens had been almost irreparably damaged by misapplication of chemicals.
This was almost made up for the incredibly friendly staff, however at that price range I would choose to play elsewhere in the future.
don't go terrible greens
I like this course but it is quite a distance from home so do not play here often. Currently the greens on the front nine are unputtable, rough, sandy just awful...back nine is ok. Crew there said it should be back in shape by June.
Self
Fairways are OK at best and the Greens are terrible on the front nine and ok on the back both need alot of work.
Not fit for play
I got an email to do a review? Pretty crazy of them given the shape the course is in. The front 9 should be closed until fixed, the greens are horrific and the fairways not much better . Also noticed the workers not doing anything constructive. I have to wonder if there is any active management. Total absence of any weed control on the whole course. 10th hole is all roped off but open but no visible sign of anyone fixing anything, hey guys big bare spots do not fix themselves! Love to know who owns this mess and why they are intent on ruining a golf course that was once great?
Conditions Terrible
Course is in the worst shade I ever seen a golf course and for the price stay away go somewhere else anywhere else and play. Greens are lost no fairway grass and tee boxes are weeds and dirt I don’t know how this course gets any play.
Very bad shape ssl
So sad that the conditions of such a great course have been changed from 4star golf course to a 0 star golf course
Agreed. Greens are 25 years old which is 5 years past their life span and they have not been cared for properly. Replace them all! Maybe do front nine first, then back 9 next spring.
