Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

Definitely Playing Again
After reading some good reviews on this course, my husband and I decided to take the 50 minute drive to play Tiger Point. The course layout was so breathtaking, it was difficult to focus on the golf. My twosome got behind a threesome who appeared to have been new golfers. They clearly didn’t understand the practice of letting faster groups play through so we waited on every hole. The wait was worth it. So many bunkers, so much water, so many challenges. Fairways were somewhat tight but the greens ran true. Had a great day and will definitely be back.
Great course..nice layout but very challenging.
Lots of water around, narrow fairways. Greens are in excellent shape but fast.
Long course
We love to play at Tiger point, but I'm a high handicapper and wished they had a tee it forward for us older people. Next time I will just tee it forward myself or never play the course again. I'm sad.
Pensacola golf
I was told this course was purchased by the city of Gulf Breeze, and being managed by troon golf. I was told the course has improved by 50% in the last couple of months. I will return
Good layout
Course had a good layout, staff was friendly, got good deal on line but price of rental clubs I thought $40 for ladies set for my daughter was too much & made up for price online. Course was hit & miss with drainage so some places real soggy
Experience the Tiger!
Greens were punched and sanded earlier in the week but should be great next week. The fairways did have some bald spots but they are definitely doing maintenance. Overall a fantastic golfing experience especially with the bay views on some of the fairways! Course layout is excellent too! There is also an island Green that is just awesome. Pace of play was great. I will play here again!!!! Tim
Watch the weather
The only negative I would say because of the coastal and natural layout is avoid hot muggy calm days because of the bugs on the coastline. The course is a challenging layout with beautiful scenery winding through an up scale residential community. It's challenging and difficult
enough to stress your game with water in play on all but two holes so make sure you have plenty of golf balls. Keeping the ball on the short grass and knowing your distances is essential. There were a few times when I had difficulty using the Golf Now GPS and there aren't distance markers except in the cart path which is a draw back as there should be distances in the middle of the fairway so having reliable GPS is essential. The greens were recovering from aeration, but still rolled pretty true. Fairways and tee boxes were is good shape, though several of the bunkers could use some of the really nice beach sand we have in abundance on the coast which is one negative I'd give the course as that would enhance the play as well as the appearance.
Much improved
Huge improvement since I played last year. Lots of work in the course, I'm great shape...
So-Sogreens
Greens spotty, uncut; fairways uncut and wet. The entire course needs work.
Golf for cheap
Price of a round of golf was great, however paid more to rent a set of clubs.
Not good. Lay out of course is nice. Fairways and greens need some work
Poor Conditions
Unfortunately this course has too many fairways and greens in poor condition. Not sure if they will ever recover from the condition they are in this year. The mismanagement of the course by the city of Gulf Breeze is obvious. Government can't run anything well. My friends and I played because of the extremely low rate that we were able to get through Golfnow.com.
Great bones
Tiger Point had great bones but the condition of the golf course was poor at best, I was told that Troon Golf is about to start managing the course, this should help! Good layout like I said good bones just needs a lot of LOVE!!
Fair value for the cost
The fairways need attention but the day we were there they were fertilizing all the fairways so it looks like they are trying to stimulate the growth. Greens are challenging and fun to play on. Staff was great.
How wide do you need your fairways most of the fairways are 40-80 yards wide?
