Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

The Last Straw
I've given this course plenty of chances under new management. I was very discouraged to find other reviews similar to mine - We showed up to the course and paid in full. It wasn't until after our card was swiped, that we were told casually, "By the way, two holes are closed today for renovations. Most people have been playing holes # __ & __ twice."
I cannot understand how management (of any business) cannot see the value in full (full) transparency, especially when you're working to earn the trust of a community who is tired of putting on sandy greens, paying to use a driving range that often times resembles a bunker, and overpaying for the value they are receiving.
I am not interested in an apology of any kind. I will simply wait it out until this once-prestigious golf course returns to form, presumably under new management. I don't doubt that this group is trying their best, but their best has unacceptable these past few years.
If you have 15-30 extra minutes in your day, take the time to drive to The Club at Hidden Creek for better prices and a much better-kept golf course.
This reminds me of the time Hidden Creek offered my group a rain-check on a day they were not obligated to do so; that small gesture went such a long way. And Tiger Point's "gesture" of not advising us of the hole closures until AFTER we paid will go a long way too - approximately 11.3 miles east to 3070 P.G.A Blvd, Navarre, FL 32566.

A little rough, looks worst than it plays. Greens are brown but don’t put to bad. Same with fairways.
Excellent course!
This course is in great shape! Greens and fairways are perfect! Ladies tee boxes need some work.
Nice layout and good value
Played this course 3 times over Memorial Day Weekend, and each round was under 4 hrs, 8am tee times.
Course has a nice layout with forgiving fairways with plenty of water and bunkers to protect them. Course is very green right now, but the greens are furry and slow (they roll ok though).
Definitely recommend and will play again.
I play between a 8-9 handicap.
Tiger Point
The reason it’s a 3 star is the price to value here vs courses like Marcus Point or Hidden Creek, which are just as nice (if not better) for a lower price. Tiger Point is a nice course, nice layout, and in pretty good condition. It’s just more expensive than others in the area for the same quality of golf
Greatly improved course
Recently played Tiger Point Course. Greatly improved course condition. Challenging course with water but a lot of fun. Staff is very friendly, Carr lady was very nice and was a very enjoyable day. If in the area this is a great place to play
Great course
Had a blast, great course, wonderful staff. Have played numerous times the greens n fairways are getting in great shape
Excellent Course
Great course. Troop Management has done a wonderful job bringing the course back to great playing conditions. Fast play and enough challenges to make Course fun to play. Water comes onto play on 14 of the holes. Highly recommend playing here for a great time at golf
Great course with lots of water
Really enjoyed the challenge of this course. Unfortunately, my party only got through 14 before a crazy thunderstorm hit so I can't comment on all the back nine, and we got stuck behind 2 groups of 4 that were playing incredibly slow.
Great course for the price ($42/per @ 11AM). Beware there are lots and lots of water hazards being right off the bay side of the ocean, but it made it a lot more challenging and fun. I would recommend this place to anyone on vacation, and the staff were very friendly.
Thank you for the 5* review. Sorry about the weather keeping you from finishing all 18 holes. The 16th, 17th and 18th are nice finishing holes. We hope you can play again with us next year. See you again soon.

Greens could use some work
Course is generally in good shape but greens dry and hard and not filled with grass.
Course is coming around. Really good layout. Plenty of wind, water, and sand. Nice to play when in decent shape.
Thank you for the review. The golf course will continue to get better with the new irrigation system that we should be getting this winter. Our current 30 year old system holds us back daily with issues. The Superintendent and his staff do a great job keeping it in good shape with the system that they are working with daily.

First time playing
Overall was a good experience . Fairways were very nice as were the tees. Greens were not what I expected . Very slow as compared to other courses i played around here. Have a few bad spots on greens. If greens were a little better i would have given it a higher rating.
Thanks for the review. Our Superintendent put out primo to speed up the greens and they are quick. See you again soon.

Thank you for the review. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Hope the daily thunderstorms in Milton are cooling things off with this heat wave.

Enjoyable course
Enjoyed Tiger Point course. Greens were in great shape. Several tee boxes were a little rough.
Lunch after the round was great.
Thank you for the 4* review. We agree that some of the tee boxes need some work.
A couple of those are on the list to level and sod later this year. We hope to see you again soon.
Swing Away,

David,
Sorry to hear of your issue. I would love to hear how you booked your tee time. My staff, our call center and also booking online should have alerted you before making the reservation that we would have anywhere from 1 to 3 holes down at a time.
Unfortunately, even though we have been doing this project since November some people in early February said that they didn't see the alert in the notes section. When we were alerted of the issue we reached out to our Golf Now representative and they made the change of how the customer was alerted.
My staff and the call center have to put initials in the system when tee times are booked so if it was booked with them I would like to know so it can be addressed because I have said it until I am blue in the face to tell the customers before they book the situation. "1 to 3 holes will be down for our irrigation system, but you can either make those holes up by playing the same number of holes or we have been allowing our customers to play unlimited holes for the day. This information should have been told to you before making the tee time and I would like to research where the breakdown was in our process.
The four month process has come to an end and we have all 18 holes back open right now. Our new irrigation system is top of the line and will allow for the golf course to take the next steps up to the next level. We hope you come back and see it.
Would love to discuss more with you if you have time to express my regret that you didn't get told before you booked your tee time.
