Course was in great shape. The fairways were soft and the greens were fast. The only thing I was not crazy about, was the course didn’t go back to club house after 9. Which isn’t a big deal but you better buy your drinks before you tee off.
Finally in Great Shape!
Well the patience seems to have finally paid off as a friend and I played Tiger Point for the first time in about a month and we were very impressed with the overall condition of the course. The best that it has been in years. Still some smaller spots on a few greens that are filling in but they do not impact play and should be 100% in a couple of weeks. The fairways have filled out nicely and most notable is that the amount of weeds in both the fairways and rough have been dramatically reduced. They are to the point now where they are spto treating the remaining small area of weeds.
I have been playing Tiger Point for a number of years and have seen the ups and downs (mostly downs). The current staff and especially the superintendent have worked very hard and methodically to improve the sprinkler system and course condition for the longer term. This on occasion has meant some short term sacrifices for longer term gain which we are now seeing..
Thank you for the review. We appreciate the feedback. The condition is back now that we went away from using our spray rig to put out our herbicide treatments. Last summer and fall the spray rig failed multiple times when it was not timely. The granular herbicide has paid off this spring with knocking out the weeds. Not a cheap procedure, but it has a longterm positive effect. The course will continue to improve as we knock out some of the detail work. We look forward to seeing you and your friend out at Tiger Point again soon. If you get a chance I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to review the course. Next time you play let the golf shop staff know to come get me.

Thank you for the review. The golf course has continued to improve since early April. Our wall to wall fertilizer app went out in late April and the golf course has responded well. Are you going to be back again soon to #TigerPointGolfClub?

Tiger Point Review
Great views. Good layout. Overall, condition is pretty good. The practice putting green condition is not great, but greens on the course seem to be better. Good wildlife. Geese, turtles, ducks, and birds. Many houses by fairways. Many bunkers on the course and much water. Pace was a bit slow. I was behind a 3some, and they weren't inviting me to play through. Pace was great on many holes, though.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the course. The putting green by the clubhouse has been looking poorer than the rest of the course lately and we are taking steps to getting it looking better. It gets a lot of traffic on it with people practicing and unfortunately it has multiple mutations of grass in it. We have put fertilizer, insecticides, herbicides and a wetting agent out to help kick it into gear for the spring / summer season. We are also looking at possibly adding in another practice green with the new driving range. This will spread out the wear and tear on that green. Hope to see you again soon.

Good shape!
Conditions good for late winter...more grass than other courses in the area.
Thank you for the review. We look forward to seeing you again soon at Tiger Point.

Bring some balls!
This is a great course. The water hazards are force to be reckoned with. A lot of lateral water on both sides of some and an island green that you see on PGA tour. I lost more than my share of balls but looking forward to playing it again next winter. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. I recommend this course.
Thank you for playing Tiger Point Golf Club. Hopefully, the drive over from Destin was smooth for you. The golf course was designed by our local golf legend Jerry Pate to hold the Pensacola Open in the 80's. We hosted the last PGA tournament held in Pensacola. Typically, the more players know the golf course the easier it gets. We look forward to seeing you and your group again soon.

Nice course layout but not in great shape.
Course had a nice interesting layout with lots of memorable holes and lots of water however it was not in great shape. The greens were bumpy, bunkers unkept and rough areas around the greens.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your round andwould recommend our course. This week we are top dressing our greens to help with the ball roll. I will pass along the information about the bunkers. The Turf Carte team is supposed to spin the bunkers every other day. Hopefully, they will be up to your expectations next time you play. They are going to do some minor repair to the bunker faces on four of the holes over the next couple of weeks to improve the playability.
Thanks again for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Quite surprise
I must admit that i was surprised with this course after reading reviews and talking to people last year.
We decided to play it and the conditions are getting better
It was enjoyable also because of the pace of play...just the two of us ....so no delays.
Thanks for a nice time
Thank you for your review. We continue to improve the course. The course as come a long way since we took over in April of 2017. The work is not over as we continue to improve daily. Just this week we cleared a lot of brush on # 10 to improve air flow and sunlight to our worst green on the course.
Hope to see you and your group again soon. IF not travel safely back to Montreal, QC, Canada. Look forward to seeing you again next year.

Another run down golf course in February.
I am trying to be positive about the experience because everyone was friendly and helpful. The course is a nice layout with wide fairways and hazards that are obvious. The don’t overseed and they were watering so the turf was soft. There was no roll on the fairways. The greens are small though true. The tee boxes have settled so they are sloped and slanted in lots of directions. The driving range is well maintained. The clubhouse is showing it’s age. The wait staff and pro were very friendly and helpful. The power carts are all new and in good condition. This place is another course that is far past it’s best days. There will need to be time and significant money spent to bring it back to what it may have been before the recession.
Thank you for your review and appreciate the feedback. We have went and put some sand on our worst areas of tee boxes to help improve them. The plan was to redo three of our worst tee boxes this winter. White/grey tee box on # 2, blue tee box on # 3, grey/red tee boxes on # 4 and white tee box on # 10. Unfortunately, we had a 5 week period during November/ December that our irrigation system didn't work so our staff was having to fix that daily. Do you remember what holes you had water running? Our irrigation system is 30 + years old and unfortunately there are times when heads don't go down all the way. The turf care team does a great job repairing them as soon as they are aware, but sometimes they don't see them until later in the day. We are supposed to only run water at night on our course unless it doesn't run through the normal cycle. If this happens the team will run water first thing in the morning before play. The West Course (currently closed) has sprinklers running during the day. We are in the planning stages to have a new irrigation system put in next year.
Today we restriped the parking lot lines to help with the aging of the clubhouse. New furniture and clubhouse updating is on our capital list for 2019/2020 so hopefully we will have them next winter when you return from Stevens Point, Wi.
If we don't see you again before you leave travel safely. Thanks again for the feedback. The course has come a long way since April of 2017 when we took over and it will continue to improve daily.

nice track
this course was the best course I've played since coming to Destin snowbirding from Johnstown, PA. I did have difficulty with the course being so long, the tees between the back ones and senior tees were not much different like other tracks. I'm hoping I can play it again.
Yes
Great course that WILL challenge you whatever your level.
Greens are fast and the whole course is in great shape.
The driving range could definitely use some attention but I came to play, not practice.
The club house is beautiful and great pro shop.
I’m not a fan of courses that don’t come back to the clubhouse at the turn when your hungry and thirsty but the quality of the course made up for it.

It's been a while since I played this location based on thre previous condition of the course. I was extremely impressed from tee to green regarding course condition. There was no slow play since there was no one in front/rear of our view. Greens however were sprinkled with fertilizer that impeded speed of putts. There were a few spots here and there on some of the greens which showed areas of disease/dead area. Golf carts have USB ports that allow one to keep cellular phones charged.
Thano you for the 5* review . The golf course tee to green is looking great. We did put some fertilizer on the couple week areas that we have on the greens. The week areas have shown improvement over the last couple weeks. Fortunately, they are mostly on the edges of the greens so they have minimal impact on the round. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Terrible Greens
Tiger point used to have fast firm greens. Today felt like I was walking on a foam cushion on the greens. You could hear the ball rolling through the blades of grass in the green.
Thank you for your review. We are keeping the greens at a higher height right now to allow for the greens to fill in after the winter. Next week we will start verticutting them(removes thatch) and topdressing them to firm them up and speed them up. If went to aggressive with them right out of the winter it could hurt them long term.

Great location. great potential. Not so great course
The only times I will play this cours is when I get a hot deal. It is worth $25 to play but I would never play for the full green fee. The greens are completely dead and almost look like a bunker. The course layout is great and it has so much potential but work is definitely needed before I will spend $50 on a round here.
Thank you for your review. We recently top dressed our greens like many courses do. This allows the sand to drop down into the imperfections in the greens and and helps the ball roll smoothly. We also put down fertilizer on the greens to help speed along the growth of the greens as we transition from the winter months to the spring. Safe travels back to Louisiana. See you next year.
Fun course
This is a challenging but fun course to play. Lots of water. It's the type of course you want to attack. And feel good even if you shoot a high score. Because it's a fun course to play.
Will play this course again.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate it and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Great course
A great course of the area. It has water difficulties like nothing else around. The greens are growing well and currently slow but will progress well if taken care of. Staff is friendly and pro shop is well stocked with good prices
Thank you for your 4* review. We appreciate it. The team is doing a great job getting the course in shape for our members and guests. We typically run a beverage cart from 8 am to 3 or 4 depending on the day. Did you not see it out there? We apologize if we missed you. let me know when you played and we will make it up to you.
