Glen Erin Golf Club
About
Glen Erin Golf Club is an homage to the strong Irish heritage of Janesville, Glen Erin, which literally mean "Ireland's Valley," sprawls across lush, emerald green hills that are accentuated with a prominent vale that runs throughout the course. The course has a distinctly Irish character with wide, undulating fairways and immense greens that are flanked with pot bunkers. Sandy waste areas and ribbons of native fescue serve as the outer rough. The elevation changes on the golf course range from subtle to dramatic. Golfers should be prepared for a fair amount of uneven lies as well as some forced carries. Glen Erin Golf Club finishes memorably with a long par 5 that offers a risk-reward opportunity. The double-tiered green is well guarded but with good placement and a little bit of luck, a birdie is definitely possible.

Nice course
This was the first time playing this course. The front nine is a links style and was very interesting. The back nine you need to hit it straight. Had a great time.
Nice links course
This is one of my favorite courses in the area. Well kept and always a fun course to play. Staff is wonderful!
Great day at Glen Erin
Glen Erin is a hidden gem. It had been a few years since I had played there because of moving away. The course was in great shape and played fair. I wish I could move the course closer to where I live now.
Good course
Get there early to putt. Greens are big
Nice course in great late season condition
A good mix of open and narrow fairways with some long par 4 holes. Well placed bunkers and traps to add to some challenging approach shots. Well maintained and in great condition for this time of year after a season of play. Great staff throughout.
Good course, but with pace of play problems.
I played this course for the fourth time - good course, good layout, good everything - but every time I've played the back nine has been very slow. There are a couple of very tough holes, and this has an effect, but yesterday, there was a foursome that was essentially out of control. I saw one player running up to the ball, and hitting it (as if he were playing speed golf), hit the ball very badly, then put another ball down and hit again. The foursome was basically there for their own amusement, but since there were two open holes in front of them, it ruined it for everyone else. The ranger was out there, but didn't do anything.
Aerated greens, slow play
Minutes short of a 5 hr round. Waited on every shot. The course was full but the back up on each hole was awful. The greens had been recently aerated. Of course, no one said anything about it. They were in terrible shape. Like putting on a gravel road. This is a decent course but not worth the 50 minute drive to get here.
Geens not in great shape
This is a fun course to play, but greens were not in the best of shape. Possibly due to extremely dry and sunny conditions during July and August. Greens were being aerated during the day we played. There was no advance notice of this when tee time was booked.
Glen erin golf course and golfnow.com
Glen erin golf course is a great place to play, beautiful scenery and great bunkers .the course is well kept. Using golfnow.com gives you great deals on greens fees and cart rentals.
Wonderful!
Glen Erin has the best bang for your buck of almost every course I've played. The flex pricing is great for finding a deal. Every time I've played, the course is in great condition. It is open, yet challenging with strategic bunker placement. Pace of play was quite slow, as I played alone and started 3 holes behind the next group. I caught up to them at hole 8, and joined another solo golfer for the back 9 to keep things moving for the both of us.
Hidden Gem
A very nice course in great shape. I played as a single and was paired up with some very friendly golfers. Played from the white tees which is not normal for me. I usually play from the tips. Quite a few blind shots which makes playing it for the first time a little difficult. Greens were in great shape and relatively quick. I would certainly play there again.
George is the man
Great course great value great food. Not very long but the greens can be a challenge. No water
Very disapointed
I golf an average of 20 times per year, and play fast and very courteous to those around me, but one guy in particular followed us through the course , literally watching us play at least 4 full holes, it made one person in our party who was inexperienced golfing very uncomfortable and he ended up not even finishing his round, the course was beautiful, and everyone else we spoke to was very nice and polite, including he golfers ahead and behind us, that we were being bothered to keep moving fast for, they didn't seem to have an issue at all!!! I am disgusted I wasted my wedding parties day golfing here, and the actions of your 'pace keeper' ruined our day , it sucks such a nice course, with nice staff, could be overshadowed by one very rude staff members actions , and we were not by any means going slow, we never seen the group behind us, and we were waiting to tee off each hole as the party in front of us shot, a person should never be golfing with a staff member standing breathing down your back for 4 holes , what a joke and a waste of money, didn't even finish our 18
course in general.
Course is ok for$30 but not a lot more. Greens are in pretty poor condition. Pins need to be moved more often. Fairways are cut pretty tight.
GREAT COURSE, TOUGH TO PLAY
USUALLY GREAT SHAPE, GREENS HAD BAD BURNOUT IN SPOTS. ALSO VERY BUMPY FROM SMALL MARKS, MAYBE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MOWER. HARD TO PLAY VISUALLY WITH SMALL FLAGS. OVERALL THE COURSE WAS JUST A LITTLE OFF IT'S USUAL GOOD GAME FACE.
Great value will always book golfnow
Was a very relaxing round of golf as it got later towards dusk the mosquitoes started to come out in the shaded areas. recommend to playing here staff helpful all the way around.
Great experience
Better than expected. Expected a more open layout, but back side has a few tight driving situations. True to what the course /facilities was intended to give us.
Great experience
Course is in great shape! Pace of play was acceptable for a busy afternoon. Saw the beverage cart regularly. Food was excellent.
Glen Erin a Must play!
We travel from Chicago to spend a long weekend up in Milton/Janesville every year for golfing, boating and this course was an Amazing find and it's a must play each year we're up in the area. I haven't found one thing not to like about this course. Everything from tee to green, driving range to pro shop is top notch. I play a lot of courses and travel to many top golfing cities, Scottsdale, Orlando, Naples and this is still one of my favorite courses out there. The staff is friendly and the rates are rather nice for a track like this. We had said put this course in the Chicago area and you're paying over 80.00 to play it. If you haven't had a chance to get to this course you are really missing out. We'll be traveling up to Wi in 3 weeks and we already have this course scheduled to play on June 24th, can't wait.
Great condition
The course was in perfect condition after a week of a lot of rain. Beautifully landscaped. Very unique and top quality experience.
