Glen Erin Golf Club
About
Glen Erin Golf Club is an homage to the strong Irish heritage of Janesville, Glen Erin, which literally mean "Ireland's Valley," sprawls across lush, emerald green hills that are accentuated with a prominent vale that runs throughout the course. The course has a distinctly Irish character with wide, undulating fairways and immense greens that are flanked with pot bunkers. Sandy waste areas and ribbons of native fescue serve as the outer rough. The elevation changes on the golf course range from subtle to dramatic. Golfers should be prepared for a fair amount of uneven lies as well as some forced carries. Glen Erin Golf Club finishes memorably with a long par 5 that offers a risk-reward opportunity. The double-tiered green is well guarded but with good placement and a little bit of luck, a birdie is definitely possible.

Greens in miserable condition.
The condition of the greens seem to be getting worse year after year. Not a fan of the short flag sticks.
slow greens
The greens were recently just verta cut kinda hard to putt on.
Great Value!
My father in law and I were heading up to a fishing event in Madison, and wanted to get a round of golf in the day before. I picked this course based on the photos. Great course, semi-challenging, and a great value! The only complaint I have is that when I called to book a tee time, it was $46.00 over the phone, but $30.00 to book online on their website. I like to make my reservations over the phone, but not for an additional $16.00. For $30.00, you will not find a better course in the area!
Great course. Glad to be back
Used to play there frequently when I lived in the area, glad to be back. Wonderful experience, terrific staff and great golf. Highly recommended.
golf
wonderful course for any level
never disappointed on conditions or the staff
Fun Course and Great Value
Not a long course, but challenging. Greens were a bit bumpy from recent maintenance, but quick. Paid only $24 for 18 with cart at 6am and it was a fantastic value. Worth much more. Will go back soon.
Fun Course
We played on a Tuesday morning at 9:30, no one was around us for the first 12 holes or so. No houses in the area just beautiful countryside. Very Relaxing!!
Gem in Janesville
Irish style links course is a challenge, especially the back 9. Various tees make the course accessible for all levels of golfers.
bang for your buck
Good course that requires proper shot placement for approaches to very tough greens. Greens all have tiers that you need to be on, if not 3 put away.
Over all very good course with very good greens.
Just Right
This course is just right for the golfer looking for a challenge but also looking to have fun. I played with town were Golfers and we all had a great time.
The staff was great!
Fun/Interesting Links Course
Enjoyable links course with elevation changes. Nice fairways, rough, bunkers. Can tell it's still early for green yet. Still not fully grown yet. Flags are short, makes it a challenge on placement on green.
Great but challenging course
It's usually windy there as it's an open course. This time of year the fescue is short and quite forgiving. It seems they cleared out a great deal of brush and smaller trees so it is easier to find and keep the ball in play. I will definitely be back to play several times this season.
nice open course somewhat like linx course
I took a friend ( that had played it) I really enjoyed myself a lot lot of friendly people.I love making reservations on line
great course for the price and courteous staff
Great course for the price courteous staff like the links style the rough is rough
great course and very good value
We got to the course expecting to wait til our tee time but they got us out early. Extremely windy made the course play a little harder than normal, greens had been aerated recently still ran smooth but a little slow.
Very nice course we will certainly go back, friendly helpful staff and a great value for your money. I highly recommend this combination links/woods course.
Tis a fine course indeed
Short but tight.
Well bunkered greens and strategically bunkered fairways.
Fairways that are in excellent condition.
Greens in October were a tad roughed up, but it was end of the season.
This is a great little course.
Had a great day of golf. Course very nice.
Course was in great shape for this time of year. Felt like it was our own private course. No one in front or back of our foursime. Played in well under 4 hours. Great course, great experience.
good course, great price
greens aerated about a week earlier, fairways very good
A fun experience
Glen Erin is a very pretty place. The greens are in excellent shape as is the rest of the course. It has both a links and course feel and will challenge your game. The clubhouse staff are accomadating and pleasant. The food is generally good. A pleasant experience.
Beautiful course..
Great staff, pristine fairways, groomed greens. Challenging with trees in back 9. The staff is awesome
