Seaview - The Pines Course
About
The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

Beverage Cart Ignored Us
throughout our round, we were passed by the beverage cart twice. Both times we were either standing near our carts by the path or on the green. Both times, the woman driving the cart made no eye contact, didn’t say a word to us, and didn’t even stop or slow down to see if we’d like anything. The first time she passed, I wasn’t too concerned as none of us were too hungry. The second time, I myself was very thirsty and coughing because of the excessive pollen this time of year, was very hungry, and had been waiting for the second time for the cart to come by. Very inconsiderate.
More golf-related, the course is always beautiful and very challenging, had a good fun round otherwise.
Tired old resort course
The Pines layout is a tired old resort course that lacks maintenance, a poor layout, and not one memorable hole (your round ends with two 200-yard par 3's) One would expect great conditions in early May but not here. The trash cans were overflowing and I almost broke my ankle getting out of my cart onto ancient cart paths. Typical Troon management. I won't be back.
Overpriced!
Clubhouse and amenities are beautiful.
The course feels neglected. Nice layout, but needs some sprucing up. Pricey for thst course
Seaview Pines Course
The Pro shop and attendants were great.
This course has improved over the last couple of years. There are two areas that need improvement.
Tee boxes and bunkers. Since the white tees are probably most used they need to work on them each year. Even if they do some in spring and others in fall. Bunkers on this course are way too large for the grounds keepers to maintain. No less golfers don't seem to know how to use a rake.
Greens are in good shape, still healing from aeration, only need to cut and roll them. Fairways also good shape. Rough was cut and growing in. Most dogleg holes you will find anywhere. Trees will block you out if you are short or on the wrong side of the fairway. Overall a good layout that needs a little financial support to make it a top course in So. Jersey.
Needs a tune up
Great track needing some TLC The tee boxes were really bad , if the greens keeper moved the tee up or bank to a better teeing ground on the tee box That’s just not paying attention
The greens needed a trim The course and the people who play it deserve better
Your welcome for this assessment it was well earned
The course is in good shape considering the spring that we have had. The fairways have been cut , most sand traps are well groomed and the greens are recovering well from aeration. Ball washers need to be made useful but overall the course is in good shape. It certainly is challenging course and an interesting layout. It was well worth the money and an enjoyable outing.
