Winter conditions

Greens were in good shape. Fairways are still dormant, of course. Bunkers are never raked here for some reason, which is why I gave 3 stars.

Amazing Course!

This is among the most beautiful & well kept courses I have ever played. Our daughters and their family recently moved to Apex & Cary from Florida. They are hoping we will follow as we are planning our retirement. My wife & I love exploring golf courses & this was recommended to us. Elevation changes, perfect greens & gorgeous surroundings make this course 5+ stars!!!

Preparing for the NC Senior games

First... if I can muster a 81 from your senior tips, anything but a top ten finish at Whispering Pines in October would be a personal disappointment. Now back to the review. Please put some quality sand in the bunkers. Their are some of us who actually aim for them from 170 out. All in all thank you for the beautiful September day and hats off to Calvin and Nick ( CHPD Heros) for adopting a 67 year old golf freak.

Great course and friendly staff

Arrived 20 minutes before tee time and were told we could start which was nice. Course is in pretty good shape other than the sand bunkers need maintenance and a few tee boxes are tore up. Nice track and challenging for all levels. The rough can be very rough and the course is littered with rock hard bunkers. Great value as I believe it was right around $50 for 18 holes at 11:10 am.

Suggestions: it might be time for some better golf carts, fix the bunkers, and either get a beverage person on the course or add some ice water buckets at some tee boxes.

All in all it was a great afternoon and finished 18 in less then 4 hours.
