A Great Play
The course is lovely.....lots of great challenging holes...beautiful views....greens are in excellent shape..very friendly staff....lovely golf experience!!.if you have a chance to play this course....DO IT!
15 holes of good golf
The course has a petty tricky first three holes but after that it opens up and is a lot easier. The greens are in good shape, fairways are understandably dry for this hot summer
Beautiful property
This is a beautiful piece of property that could contain a top 100 course in the country. However, it is not well maintained relative to its potential as a prestigious course.
The greens are maintained well, but the tee boxes, the fairways and the rough are wild. The rough is dried out, weedy and spotted. The tees are mixed; many are overrun with weeds and others are decently clean and lush. The fairway is the greatest disappointment. It is often undefined in relation to the rough; there is little color separation and since both are extremely dry and sparse, there is little advantage in hitting off the fairway compared to the rough. You don't feel the same satisfaction hitting well here as you would on a more maintained course.
The layout is also questionable at times. It's very difficult to know where to hit your shot and you're often punished for hitting what you initially thought were good shots. First hole is a good example.
All in all, playing here is a pleasant experience. The surrounding environment is gorgeous and you'll see a lot of wildlife on the property. I just wish they'd charge a bit more and use the money to upgrade the course.
WOW!! Amazing Course Amazing Golf Experience
The holes, the views, the greens, the length, the hazards, the bunkers, the people and I could go on. All were terrific leading to a great round of golf.
Seldom do I play a course where there is nothing I would suggest needs to be improved.
I think everyone that can should play this course.
I can promise you won't be disappointed.
Play the Tees recommended for your Handicap and enjoy the experience.
Beautiful Course
We had a great day at Eaglemont. We got a great discount on the green fees that made the round an extreme value. The fairways are a bit brown because of the lack of rain, but the greens and bunkers are perfect. The course is in the foothills of the Cascade mountains and features a variety of just gorgeous holes. The course is very challenging, especially the first 3 holes. Absolutely worth your time.
great time
beautiful course, it was challenging and the greens also challenging. would do it this course again.
beautiful course, difficult
Challenging course with lots of elevation changes and blind shots. Very dry right now (everything in WA is) and this makes the hillside rolls even more difficult.
Take lots of balls.
Great greens. Fantastic views of Mt Baker.
Yikes!
This course has beautiful views! However it's not for the faint of heart. It's very hilly and if you don't hit the fairway, then you've probably list your ball. The greens were in good shape but the fairways were pretty dry due to the lack of water. Still enjoyed the challenge.
Great course
Great course that will challenge everybody! Beautiful views of Mt. Baker too. I've never been disappointed.
This Course Can Be A Challenge
There isn't a lot of room for error here. Not much rain lately, so there were some tight lies on what would normally be good tee shots. Greens were very well maintained. Would like to try this course when it is not so dry.
Great course
The staff was very friendly, the course is in great shape and the greens are large and fast. It's hard to beat this course for the beauty and great condition for the price. My wife and I plan to play it again soon.
Going from the Greys
Moved back to the greys on advice from playing partner, the landing areas suit me better from there, but the second shots are tough. Plan on losing a few balls as the fairways are firm and tend to kick you into the bushes when you stray to the edges with your shots.
Beautiful, as always...
We played May 20th on a bright, sunny day. As always, the views are incredible on this true Northwest course. The course is finally drying out. However, there were still many fairways cut too long due to being wet on cut days. The rough is FAR too long and needs to be cut shorter. There were two different times where my drive missed the fairway by no more than a foot or two and I couldn't find it in the overly thick rough!
This is a great course when its dry. The facilities and staff are excellent. We always stay for dinner and drinks as the food is great with competitive prices.
Great course
Great course with friendly staff. Will play on a regular basis
Eaglemont
Course in good shape overall, greens have really healed and are quick. Make sure you pick the right set of tees.
Well maintained course through the woods
Course has a wandering layout through hills and gullies surrounded by forest. Only a few holes have housing along side. Significant distance from green to next tee and many elevation changes necessitate a power cart. Soft turf conditions on the day i played with some water still present in some bunkers. This was after several dry days so would not recommend this course during or shortly after wet weather. Clubhouse is upscale with excellent views, food and service. Rated the course only 3 star because of all the blind holes and significant elevation changes.
Very enjoyable day!
The Bunkers were excellent quality sand + well maintained. The front 9 Greens were a bit slow ...perhaps needing cutting; back 9 ...Excellent! We all 4 ..enjoyed Eaglemont.
Mud mud and more mud
Fairways were embarrassingly muddy. Three drives that hit the middle of the fairways disappeared in the muck. No chance to find them. However, we found more plugged balls than we lost. Meh. That said, its questionable if the course should even be open when there's that much muck in the center of fairways. Glad to see they were able to save the 10th green. I like the course, but get pretty frustrated when losing well hit balls. Lots of places need mowed badly, but there's no chance of that happening until the course dries out.
Day on the mountain
It was pretty wet course had changed since i last played it. Like the new layout People very friendly. Will definitely return in better weather. Good mix of hole lengths and elevation changes need to use all your clubs and most of your shots. Fantastic views not aware of residences on most holes
Course evaluation
Still path only with carts, due to wet/muddy areas in fairways. As we get a bit more spring weather this should vanish making the entire course a nearly mandatory course to play. The views and overall beauty are special, and the greens and tee-boxes are already in good shape. Worth every penny !
