First time in Nov.
Course was a bit wet and a few tee shots plugged but the scenery and terrain are spectacular. Greens and traps were extremely well maintained. I'll be back to play it in the spring.
Great day
I played with 3 other golfers I did not know. They were friendly and we had a great time at this beautiful course. While the weather was perfect for November I will say many of the fairways were very wet. We had considerable rain the day before so was expected, but one should be prepared. Very good time and I am anxious to go back.
What a beauty
Traveled from Spokane to play. Sadly we had the first rain in quite sometime and it was a Down pour!! Left after two holes to return to clubhouse. Staff was very accommodating and friendly as we waited out the storm. This was one of the most beautiful courses I have ever played, and I have played over 450 different courses through out the country. Very demanding from any set of tees and you will hit every club in the bag. Great variety of holes in an absoutley stunning setting. If there was a downside it was the remnants of recent plugging and sanding. and the fact even a hard core walker as myself could not possibly get around without a cart. I will go back again on a good day, with what I am quite sure will be fabulous greens, and a bit of local knowledge!
Fabulous
Even though course was in flux with aerating it was the most beautiful course we have played in WA. Its an undiscovered gem (beautiful and a challenge). Carved into a hilly forest,
long holes, tiered tees and greens, ravines, water, plush greens and fairways. Cant say enough.
Food was high quality in pub. Clubhouse is new and so beautiful, worth going to see the view from there.
Great track
It's hard to say enough good things about this course. The only thing is that you need to play here once or twice to really appreciate the layout. Yes, there are some blind shots and some of the elevation changes are mind blowing, but that's part of the fun. If you don't know where to hit it expect to lose a few balls. Absolutely no two holes are even remotely similar and if it's a challenge you're looking for the 141 Slope Rating from the middle tees tells it all. The day I played the greens were still showing the effects of seasonal aerification but the sand in the bunkers was the best I've seen all year. This is one of my favorite courses anywhere.
Nice course but.........
It took us 1 hour to play two holes and on hole # 3, there were three groups waiting to tee off and one group on the tee. I finally called the clubhouse to get a marshall out to get things moving. The two groups in front of us thought they were the only golfers out on the course and they were going to take their time on every shot......marking six inch putts......didn't even try to pick up the pace until the ranger talked to them. I have never walked off a course before in my life but we quit after nine, after three hours. I still feel bad about quitting but we couldn't take the slow play any longer. Course was decent but I would not go back.
challenging course, variety of shots
The course is beautiful, and challenging, greens are tough but the roll is fair.
Early morning fog
7:30 am tee time led to blind tee shots on first three holes due to fog. Otherwise, a very challenging course from all tees, placing a high emphasis on accuracy off the tee.
What a gem!
I'm from AZ visiting relatives and my brother-in-law and I decide to play a random golf course we hadn't played before. Boy are we glad we picked Eaglemont! Fantastic views, perfect greens, friendly staff and a fun layout all at a great price. We will certainly play here again given the opportunity. They even have compressed air hoses to clean off your shoes. In 26 years of golfing I've never seen that before but it's a cool touch that actually cleans your shoes. There are a couple of quirky holes that force you to dial back your clubs but overall the course allows you to use your whole bag. I still can't get over the greens - just immaculate! Even the cart paths from hole to hole were beautiful and unique. This course is worth any drive from around the area of you're a local.
This course has a few blind shots
The staff was courteous and professional, the course is in great shape. The only thing I would add isenu and phone number for the grill on hole 8 or 9.
if you like being rushed
I've never had such a bad experience in my time golfing. My four some had over 120 years experience playing and none of us have had a marshall follow us for 3 holes telling us to hurry up. We were 15 minutes off their mythical pace (that's less than a minute per hole off pace) but because we had TWO SOMES behind us that were "members", the Marshall was up our rears. Oh and we were keeping up with the Three some in front of us. We quit 2 holes early and will never go back. So if you like to take your time and look at your shot, don't play here. Total play time 4 hrs 45 min (would've been) expected play time by management (4 hrs 30 mins, unrealistic) But apparently we were holding everything up. Go play avalon if you want a good experience up north.
Fun Course!
I hadn't played the course for 14 years and the course hole setup is completely different but I love how the course has changed with some magnificent views from the new beautiful clubhouse. Its fun because there are some birdies out there but also some doubles when you find trouble. Course conditions were overall good with the exception of some of the bunkers that weren't raked properly. The 4 sets of tees make it as challenging as you want it. I play a lot of different golf courses and this may be the most enjoyable one to play.
Used to be a top course in the State!
4 years ago Eaglemont was one of the best courses in WA! It was in top condition and they made some adjustments to the course so if you played the correct tee boxes it would provide the appropriate level challenge.
Oh how the mighty have fallen! This course is now one of the worst maintained courses in WA state. The greens are soft, bumpy and slow...maintained like somebody's back yard. They must believe that if the greens are green in color they are okay, but they are not! You're lucky if you catch them on a mowing day. Otherwise it's like playing from the rough on the tee boxes and fairways. I mean really...several weekends in a row you could barely make out a fairway or had to pick grass on the tee boxes to clear a spot! On the weekend when they should be getting their most play?!?
The bunkers...the few that have sand in them...are raked so lazily that all the sand has been pulled up around the edges.
It's as if the owners spent their maintenance budget on the clubhouse and forgot about their most important asset...the course. It's either that or nobody remaining on the maintenance staff has ever played golf or worked on a golf course. Just sad...really sad...for the nice kids left running the pro shop.
I guess that's why it's so easy to get a tee time now and why they've had to start offering internet deals to try and entice people to play? Somebody should buy the course who cares about it!
lost some balls but will play again
play this course with someone who is familiar with all the hazards. i had several tee shots that i thought were safe only to find out they were lost in a seemingly random bog. the front nine was private and forested. the back nine had houses that lined some holes. rent a cart, there are quite a few hills. use golfnow.com to play it the first time to save $$$ (28 bucks). I love the challenge of golf and have a short memory when it comes to a disappointing hole, so i did enjoy it overall. if you find it hard to move on after a bad score, you may want to avoid this challenging course.
Amazing greens.....
As with most golf courses in the Northwest, the early rounds will encounter recovery from extensive rainfall. The greens, having been aerated in early April, have recovered exceptionally well. The views from many points on the course are memorable and should be photographed so others can be shown what they're missing. It was an excellent day of and for golf.
Great course
Awesome course with a good challenege. Wouldn't want to walk it but still an amazing washington course
Great challenging course in very good condition even winter.
Like it, enjoy it, no way to beat such a great round, the 19 holes, food and even greater with super friendly lady and Gentleman, thank you, me and my group have a great time.
I had greate expirience.
Course a bit challenging a specially pars 3 when you don't see the greens, I like the variety of elevation on each hole. It was first time played this course, hopefully much easier for next time.

interesting course with a great layout
We had a great round with a Canadian couple. Unfortunately the weather prevented great views to surrounding mountains. The piece at the front nine was great but we had wished that the Ranger would have interfered with the twosome (!!) in front of us. We had to wait about 5 minutes at each hole which took away some of the fun playing this course. The course itself has many waste areas which play like a lateral water hazard and is very beautiful. Greens are fast and true.
LOVE IT, ALTHOUGH VERY CHALLEGING FOR A HIGH HANDICAPER LIKE ME.
I WISH THE FAIRWAY WAS NOT SO SLANTING AND SLOPPY.
