Very challenging!
I love this course even though I tend to loose a lot of balls here. But it also makes really focus on my course management. You'll have to play this course a few times before deciding if whether you like it or not.
Challenging but fun.
This is the first time we golfed this course. It's a tough course but can score well if you stay out of trouble. Great scenic views at most of the holes. Some brown fairway areas that could use some attention. We had fun and did score well. Will certainly golf there again.
Ball eating monster
Tough course. Bring your cardio and a couple extra sleeves of balls. Good design except 10th hole which might be worst in the State.
Very scenic and very challenging
The first three holes are really tough. The next 15 are hard.
Lots of elevation change
This is a fun course with drastic elevation change throughout. It definitely takes a few rounds to figure it out, but when you do, there is some birdies to be made. The course can get a little soggy, but this time of year the rain isn't to much of a concern. The course moved the clubhouse and the arrangement of the holes about two years ago, so if you haven't played it recently, it's a whole new course.
Eaglemont, an interesting track that could be so much better
I have a love-hate relationship with Eaglemont. I've played it a handful of times. I've always impressed with its beauty, especially on a handful of elevated tees. Then again, I'm always confounded by how to play it properly. It seems every other hole has a design quirk or its too difficult to be fun.
The completion of the new clubhouse a couple years ago, resulted in one of my biggest pet peeves in golf, an awkward first hole. Instead of easing golfers into their round, the downhill tee shot forces a decision of what club to hit and where to hit it. It isn't the last time Eaglemont will leave guessing.
Very hilly.
Most holes are either uphill or downhill. Makes judging your tee shot and approach length a challenge. Greens were quick but rolled true.
Up & down
Many beautiful elevated tees and greens. From the white tees fewer hazards come into play. Carts only. Fantastically beautiful course! Just inside the hazards, the ball will not be found. Watch out for the nettles!
This course very challenging if not a straight hitter
I always enjoy playing Eaglemont, but it looked like they need some better maintenance on the Tee Boxes. It has some great scenery. We saw a coyote on the Ten fairway. They should tell you about the rule for lost balls before the round begins. I had two shots go into the woods on the first tee when I could have dropped two club lengths from the nearest entry point.
Views are spectacular
Eaglemont is a challenging course, but the views of Mt. Baker and the valley are second to none. I loved my golf experience and Rene and Randy at the 19th hole are fun, friendly and made the rest of my day!
Hilly and most often uneven lies. In fact I cannot remembera level, flat iie. Day we played, slow pace., nice course all in all, drinks too spendy!
Challenging course, very hilly with uneven lies most oftren.
Expensive ammenities after the low rate.
excellent course for the $$
The staff was very friendly, the course was in great condition and every hole had it's own challenges with a few of them leaving you guessing what to do in the tee box. GPS would have been nice in the carts.
The course is a real challange, but lots of fun.
The staff is very friendly and the food is great.
The course plays long from the gray tees, my partner and I try to to play here at least on a month.
You get the feeling of a private course.
Beautiful vistas
I truly enjoy playing Eaglemont whenever I can, very challenging, but rewarding. Great staff, Cory, Randy, Ed and Gail
great challenging layout
if you're looking for a challenge, great scenery and well maintained golf course this one will fit the bill. We played the blue tee box and it gave us more than we could handle, but beware there is a lot of blind tee shots and funky lies but well worth the challenge. I would strongly recommend you play this course but be mindful of your abilities and play the tees accordingly. One of our group played from the blue tees and he is a 17 handicap and had a long painful day..... Great course!!!
Bring your A game for tee shots.
Excellent course, demanding tee shots in places. Elevation changes will put a premium on club selection.
VERY challenging course
This is one challenging course.... stunning views of Mt Baker from many holes... This course is forested, with many holes going severely downhill, and uphill, with doglegs...Course knowledge is essential. Many holes were blind because of doglegs or elevation changes....I had very few level lies because of the elevation changes. If you hit the ball off the fairway you were penalized with tough rough, and I lost at least 2 balls, even though I saw where it went, into the rough. Even the short pars 4 were difficult because of the rough... This course demands shots to landing areas where there are decent lies. The par 3's were challenging as well...I enjoyed playing the course very much, but I did not play well at all due to the difficulty of the course. If you are a decent golfer, this course will challenge your abilities... A range finder is a must to know the distances to the landing areas and the hazards. The greens were large and undulating, and in good shape...
very interesting and attractive layout with some hidden greens, very kind staff
more delicate speed control required for diesel golf carts especially in a steep road conditions
This is a beautiful course! I love this course!
My husband and I are always looking for "day destination golf"
and Eaglemont has just won for our favorite escape. Take
the long route up to Mt Vernon and enjoy the country roads.
This is in a beautiful setting with lots of older growth trees and
some mini lakes AND wildlife. We saw deer and what looked like
a coyote cross our fairway.
Although this is a difficult course for my just past beginning ability, it's so beautiful it's tough to be frustrated, just bring lots
of balls! Beautiful setting, great folks in the pro shop/bar and
a gorgeous new clubhouse. Thank you GolfNow & Eaglemont
for offering discounts so we can venture out and make our
goal of golfing every course in the state. WE will be back and
bring our friends.
Excellent course for a better player
2nd time playing here in a week, very challenging course ! you must be able to drive at lease 250 yards since your ball won't get much roll to set up a decent 2nd shot, also on approach shot the green area a very shallow so your miss shot better be on the proper side or else the ball will rolls off onto the hazards and end up losing the ball, a very challenging target set up with lot of elevation change it make you thinks before club selection and yardages before you hit the shot, and for the green lot of slope but right now is on the slow side but should be faster when weather start drying up and this certainly will making it very fun to play.
