The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks
About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Good course
Nice people a good course some blind shots so course knowledge would be a great help!
Excellent Mountain course!
First class facility and great staff. Course was a bit soggy due to daily rain (pretty rare!), but in excellent shape. Lots of elevation change, elevated tee boxes. Phenomenal views! Really a great day of golf and a fantastic GolfPass value. Highly recommend.
Fun mountain course
Overall conditions were good. Back 9 bunkers were still being redone but we knew that going in. Front 9 bunkers are completed and the sand is awesome. The staff was super friendly from the pro shop to bartender to the starter. Fun layout and very fair. Front 9 plays easier than the back so don't get too cocky when making the turn. We got a good deal on GolfNow so it was a good value. I heard they are looking at raising the rates so we will wait and see.
Course conditions
It’s a fun beautiful golf course. However, they are redoing all the bunkers. There was no mention of this, and the way the course was playing it definitely wasn’t worth the money.
Amazingly beautiful course... conditions not so great
Such a beautiful course with a LOT of variety... quite challenging. Unfortunately most of the holes had major sand trap work (full replacement) going on. Was told about it at pro shop & by starter. Very surprised this didn't result in discounted rates as it impacts play... sometimes significantly.
GPS carts are great but the screen was right in the way of the driving view. Hard to see sometimes and definitely blocked the stunning views around. Suggest lowering them 6-12".
Pace was very slow, partly as I ended up playing as a single. Would have appreciated the starter to adjust to avoid this. NOT fun playing as a single between 2 foursomes.
Beauty & challenge of the course is amazing, thus the 4 starts, otherwise factors above would have been a 2-3.
Worst Golfing Experience Ever!!!!
I planned a trip to Denver, and was so excited at the opportunity to play a round of Mountain golf. I made my decision to play the Raven Golf Club based on the rating from Tee Off app. I am a 0.3 handicap and play around the country and internationally, and this was the worst experience I have ever had. There was not one aspect of the course that was positive. The customer service was horrible, both in the pro shop and the bar and grill. The practice area was a field of weeds from the tee box all the way through. The practice putting green was dead. The course form tee to green was nothing but weeds and dirt. The course was under construction in many areas. I have played $20.00 courses that were in better shape than the Raven Club. I normally would write a negative review. I would normally not write a review unless it was positive, but I feel like I would be doing so many people an injustice not informing them of the horrible experience they are going to have if they play the Raven Golf Club. If I could rate the course as a negative five I would. If you can play the course for $10.00 then it would be worth it. If you are looking for a good golf course do not play the Raven Golf Club.
Thank you,
Chip
Beautiful surroundings
Difficult course, slow greens, course knwoledge definately helps.
A little slow to get through, but loved the course
I would definitely play this course again. The ups and downs of the holes were a lot of fun and the views are spectacular. Enjoy the environment while waiting on the groups in front of you!
Staff was inconsiderate and inflexible
3 of us were on vacation and had one set of clubs to minimize space needed for vacation travel. The course management made us rent 2 sets of clubs for $120. My 2 sons and I are tall, so my 2 sons only used the rented clubs sparingly. My set is custom made for length.
They said it was for pace of play. No one was pushing behind us for the entire 18. We had to wait for some in front of us.
Basically, we carried two sets of unused rented clubs around for 18 holes and the golf course got an extra $120 out of us.
geeting much better
Played about 2.5 years ago and this course was in terrible shape. Getting much better review now. The sand traps are currently being replaced by the Billy bunker systems and will great when completed. The greens need to be more consistent for me to give a top rating. I would not pay 150 to 200 for this course but the golf pas hot deals made it affordable and enjoyable
Mountain golf at its peak
Loved the scenic area, challenges of the course, and the warm up facilities. Definitely a course you want to have an aerial view of view an phone app with a lot of hills and curves leading to blind shots. Got a good sale price on this and had to give it a try - otherwise the fee would have been out of my price range.
Course has quite a challenging layout, greens are immaculate. The sand/bunkers generally were under repair to put in white and fluffy beach sand which when done should be a different experience for sure.
Sidewalks are pretty beat up from ground swelling and freezing - so pay attention when driving. I do wonder what this course would be like walking to really take in the views.
Fun course to play
Course was in good shape they were working on the bunkers but that didn't bother us. Pro shop staff were very easy to work with. We were a twosome so they paired us up with 2 guys that work at the club. These guys were very nice and fun to play with they helped us out by telling us about each hole before we played it. Will try to play this course again the next time we are in the mountains.
50$ course charging 100+
The Ravin has the potential to be great,It's Just not! It has always been poorly maintained, wet or bone dry ( all kinds of irragation issues). Beverage carte not able to process credit cards in 2022. Greens in Ok shape at best. And the cart path is flat out dangerous in spots. If you are going to spend 150$ go to the Ranch.
Good. Course, Bad Greens
The course is nice. Dramatic elevation changes and challenging. But the greens are not in good shape. Later in the year they usually are better.
