The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Great views and fun course

Really enjoyed my rounds while visiting the Breckenridge area. Course is in great shape (a bit soft in parts due to all the rain they've had). Greens are true to speed and slope. Would highly recommend this course.

Never disappoints…

Simply a fantastic mountain golf experience. Customer service was stellar and excellent condition overall. Not sure what all the griping about bunkers amounted to…we got ample instruction from starter that a few were still in progress and to modify as we chose during the round.

I was a bit shocked by the rates ($142) that have doubled over last 8 years….but I suppose it is expected with higher demand and more folks trying to play.

Great mtn golf layout

Such great potential…fantastic layout that’s a lot of fun to play. Not bad conditions by any means, but it’s just rough around the edges, paths are rough, and they are rebuilding the bunkers. The course conditions do not warrant a $198 cost.

Beautiful views but course is just ok.

Course conditions are ok. Fairways seems to have a lot of weeds and is patchy in many spots. Greens are ok. Layout of course, especially the back nine isn’t great. Seems like they make many holes harder than they need to be. Better be prepared to lose balls. I’m a 12 handicap and felt like a 25 handicap on this course.

Ordered a ham sandwich at the turn. It hardly had any meat on it and cost $16. Kind of a rip off.

Not likely to play the course again. If I do, I’ll bring some extra balls and ham.

Great layout

Great layout and they are working hard to improve the conditions. I’m sure in about a month it will be top notch! Staff was great, friendly and super helpful. But $28 for two hot dogs is kind of ridiculous. My recommendation is to eat before you play! But overall I would say it was truly enjoyable!

Great Trac

Greens were sandy and still recovering from a late aeration. The views are stunning and the layout gives you a challenge. The wildlife is just an added feature

Stop reading the negative reviews. They’re outdated and wrong.

Is this course the most magically maintained course of all time? No. But is Arrowhead? Also no. It’s tough at this elevation to get everything right. You’re not going to be “wowed” with the amenities, or prestige condition of this course, but out of all the mountain/Colorado courses I’ve played, the views here are absolutely breathtaking. Got to peep the fall colors today, and the pace of play was incredible. No cart girls, so load up at the bar, but this course was fun to play, and absolutely amazing for the views. I was hesitant to play here for a long time, but thank god I finally disregarded the “Karen” reviews, my only regret is not playing here sooner. The people whining because this course isn’t TPC sawgrass, grow up. It’s a mountain course. But overall I thought the condition was totally fine. Don’t skip this, and go peep those leaves while you can.

Beautiful but hard course

The Raven in September is a beautiful place to play. The colors were changing so the scenery was spectacular. We had deer join us on a tee box.

The course is quite steep in places and some very challenging holes, especially on the back 9.

Overpriced

For the price, this is not a course worth playing. Local members of the course are extremely rude, cut holes in front of us to back us up even more than we already were. Our round was a 5:15 minute round. Some holes had several groups on them at the same time. The staff seemed to be mostly disinterested in providing service to our group, even though we are all decent players.

Nice Course, But Hard

This is one of the more difficult courses I have played in recent memory. Lots of trees, tall grass, and sand. Many of the Par 4s are long and uphill. Course was in real good condition this time, but sometimes is in bad shape early in the season.

Great track, wait till the bunkers are done

Loved the course and the layout despite the 5 hour round. Full price for having all the bunkers under construction was disappointing. Staff was very very nice, but no beverage cart " because the driver wrecked the cart"?
