The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks
About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Rude staff
One of our foursome offered some negative feedback about the condition of the back nine to a bag attendant after being asked about the course. Rather than simply acknowledge the feedback or ask for more information, he went from explaining (the back nine is under repair) to disputing (tough to grow grass at 8k feet) to rudeness (it's a nice track if you stay in bounds), He was so proud of his behavior he repeated his rude comment to one of his co-workers within earshot of me. Will never go back.
Nice course, a bit over priced
Loved the layout, great course. Construction in the numbers was not a big factor.
Great Views and Very Nice Course
The course was in excellent condition, except for the fairway bunker rebuild project. All fairway bunkers were ground under., but this didn't really distract from a very nice round of golf. The course has plenty of challenges with significant elevation changes
The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens are challenging with lots of slope and some slope front to back, making it difficult to hold some greens
Great day of golf
Got behind
Fun course. Mountain summer equals rain at 3, had to punt last 5 holes. Pace was 20 minutes behind due to slow 4 some 2 holes ahead. On way in hole 18 fully open, nobody on it but stacked up behind.
Cool day, let's play.n
We played on July 4 at 2:30. No one ahead of us and no one behind us. Great pace of play. Tee boxes for most holes were in good shape. Fairways and greens were all in good shape.
There are a number of hole layouts with the greens and pin placements that make you have to decide whether to go for it or play more conservative. There are a good number of tee shots that let you grip it and rip it. In many places, if you miss the fairway wide, good luck finding your ball.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable round.
Raven--Not in Prime Time Shape
Burnt-dry fairways, GUR on greens, dandelions, and grass/weds in trap. GREAT LAYOUT and hopefully a few good months of afternoon showers will get the course in better shape for late summer and early fall. NOT worth the $90 Hotdeal and definitely not worth the $130+ rack rate in this condition.
Beautiful scenery
The views and scenery are amazing staff was friendly and helpful pace of play was spot on, course is rough in areas, greens where pretty shaggy and inconsistent way overpriced but it's marked off the list.
Course Conditions
The vistas were fantastic. Unfortunately the course conditions were very poor. The fairway bunkers were unplayable due to the weeds and unkempt conditions. The greens were in need of attention.
Beautiful course but needs to be reconditioned.

This course is a must stop for golfers in the vail to Silverthorne area
Very difficult course that suffers from mountain weather early in the summer. The tee boxes are to far back for most golfers especially shocked by women’s tees. Overall however, the views and the course layout are worth it all! Must try just for a good time!
Late Season Goodness
We scored an afternoon tee time and were pleasantly surprised after reading the other reviews on Ravens. Don’t believe everything you read. Yes the greens were sandy however the fairways, tee boxes and surrounding areas are lush and green. Plus, Ravens is the last man standing up the mountains! The staff and facilities were amazing and we’ll be getting back there before they close for the winter! If you decide not to walk to golf carts are deluxe! GPS & leather seats!
Enjoyable round
I enjoyed the round as I was paired with two members and a fourth. pace of play was nice although not played their before made it seem even more challenging. Needless to say I did not play my best.
Felt I was was playing twice as much as the other players I was with, I just was not relaxed and playing my best.
The Raven
Course has gone downhill. Use to be a great course. Looks like it hasn't been watered in a month. Greens had more sand on them than a beach. Only 9 holes were open so had to play the same 9 twice. Paid $71/person. Wasn't worth $10/person.
Overpriced for conditions
Overpriced for conditions course terrible greens will not play again
