About
Located on the shorefront of Southampton Parish, the Port Royal Golf Course is one of the most frequented public golf courses in Bermuda and it is even known as being one of Jack Nicklaus' favorites. Robert Trent Jones designed this 18-hole course, which hosts the Bermuda Open Championship every year. Doglegs and wind are just some of the factors that will challenge golfers on this course. The signature hole is the scenic and rather infamous 16th, situated precariously atop craggy cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. The hole requires a nearly perfect shot in order to reach the green. Port Royal Golf Course has garnered such a following that some golfers reserve starting time a year in advance.

Beautiful Day for Golf!
Great experience at the course. Pace of play was ok for a weekend day. Not too challenging but it requires well positioned shots to score well. Great egg salad sandwich at the turn!

Can’t recommend this course and club highly enough.incredible views, layout, good condition and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Always play this course a couple of times when on holiday to Bermuda. Love it!

Tougher than expected
We had played this course in 2005 and enjoyed it very much. In 2014 a full remodelling was undertaken to make way for a PGA Championship. The result is that any off line shots are sucked up by masses of bunkers which become an annoyance for most amateurs.
The greens are slick but have become infected by rough grass which needs to be eliminated especially at the 18th.
Overall enjoyable but a bit tough for every day play. (13 handicap player)
