About
Located on the shorefront of Southampton Parish, the Port Royal Golf Course is one of the most frequented public golf courses in Bermuda and it is even known as being one of Jack Nicklaus' favorites. Robert Trent Jones designed this 18-hole course, which hosts the Bermuda Open Championship every year. Doglegs and wind are just some of the factors that will challenge golfers on this course. The signature hole is the scenic and rather infamous 16th, situated precariously atop craggy cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. The hole requires a nearly perfect shot in order to reach the green. Port Royal Golf Course has garnered such a following that some golfers reserve starting time a year in advance.

It’s not just about the views this course is a real challenge one you need to think through and trust the reviews or you will be in a world of pain

Slow play
Waited 26 min for a hole - 2 holes clear, no offer to play through so we asked and skipped a hole - then got lots of attitude from “tournament players” who decided that they were far more important and slow play didn’t matter - as it was their course…
Slow play is unnecessary and kills the game!..
Simply needs someone to monitor the pace correctly!!!

Love this course
Beautiful afternoon with a fairly strong breeze to make fast greens even more challenging. Surprisingly played 18 holes in 3 hours and 40 minutes which was an added plus. Can't beat the vistas and meal afterwards was icing on cake.

Better than Pebble Beach
Creative layout in a magnificent natural setting. So much visual access to the multicolored ocean. Lush tropical foliage. Consistent excellent tee boxes fairways greens and traps. Staff welcoming and so appreciative of positive feedback. DrinkingWater on course is just the right temperature!
And yes, I have played Pebble Beach.

So excited to be able to play here 3 days after the PGA event. Watched the tournament on TV and knew the course was going to be in excellent shape. Fun and challenging (especially with a 2 to 3 club wind!!!!), it did not disappoint. The views are incredible!
