Very slow - no Marshal to help
There was a 5some who held up 4 groups, no marshal nor anyone @ the course who seemed to care.
May be a nice course, however w/3 groups waiting
at the tee and 2 holes clear in front, 3 hours to play the back nine is something no one should have to experience.
Good Value
First time ever playing course. Was in fair condition and pace of play was good. If you are looking for decent course for a good value this is an excellent choice we will definitely play again.
Nice course
I played in a threesome on a cool and windy day. It had rained early in the day and the course was a little wet. The greens were in good condition as were the fairways.
Beautiful Course
This course offers some challenges due to the tree lined fairways but it is a beautiful and fun course. We will definitely golf this wonderful course again.
Poor Conditions
This course was in quite poor condition. When I saw a four star rating on here I expected something halfway decent, this was not the case at all.
First was the range. The placement of the rage is terrible, the range is actually fairly blind, and the mats (which I can't stand in the first place) were threadbare. The rubber tees are either far too long or short, and half of the mats don't even have a hole to run the tee through. The practice greens butt right up against the restaurant patio, and offer no room for chipping. In order to chip, you basically have to play from beside the 18th green.
Tee boxes: The tee boxes are also pretty terrible. It would generally be reasonable to expect a somewhat flat surface from which to tee off. Unfortunately here this is not the case. The boxes are lumpy and poorly maintained.
Fairways: the fairways were actually decent. Not spectacular, but nothing to complain about here.
Greens: Absolutely terrible. Patchy and chewed up. I understand winter can be rough on greens especially, but this winter was not especially. Bad. I've played on courses that have experienced far worse and were in much better condition.
I've played a diverse group of courses in my time in a variety of places. I've played from the top courses
in the country to some real goat ranches. I've never complained about any, but expectations for this course were far underachieved. I would not recommend this course to anyone. I'm just glad I played this course on a special and not at their full price. The $13 I payed was about accurate for what I got. Also, what golf course does not take Amex?
Hope people find this helpful.
Hello,
Im glad you commented on the course. You are wrong on a couple of your comments: We did have a bad winter this year. We lost 5 greens, which were re planted, and now are in great condition. The other greens were severely damaged too. All of our greens were over seeded in May.
I do agree with you on some of the tee boxes being not flat, but we are a old golf course, and are privately owned. Therefore, we don't have the endless budget that the other courses have around us. We do what we can with what we have.
Compared to may and June, This golf course is in as good of condition as any other in the Spokane area right now.
Again, im glad for your comments.

Sun Dance Golf Course
Good condition
After a horrible winter and spring the groundskeeper has the course in great shape. Long rough, greens roll true. Very enjoyable round!
Course running behind schedule
Booked a tee time for 6:04. We got checked in around 5:54. We waited until 6:25. No joy. I am very new to golf (that would have been my 5th time ever playing). Communication from the guy running the show was very poor. Keeping us updated would have been great, but he never told us what was going on or approximately how long it would be. I was always under the impression that when you make a tee time it is bad etiquette to be late. We were not only very early, we had time to use their driving range before tee time. Waiting a half an hour before our actual tee time is not appropriate. We ended up getting a rain check. Who knows when we would have actually got on the course. We do want to give sun dance another opportunity. We will see what it's like the second time. If I use golfnow, I will have to pay another fee for their service. The guy in charge never apologized or tried to make us feel welcome. Very poor customer service.
Hello,
After talking to you the other day, when you were out here, I want to say again that I am sorry that the communication was not up to par in explaining the situation that day.
I am glad that you did come out again, and I had a chance to talk with you.
We look forward to seeing you here more in the future.

Sundance Golf Course
The staff is very friendly and always helpful. They make you feel welcome. The course is coming around great after a bad winter. Everyone should try Sundance Golf course, you will really Enjoy yourself.
Golfnow.com golfer
Sundance Golf Course did not fair well last winter, however the course is starting to bloom into great shape. The course is an exceptional value to play. The clubhouse Pro Chris & longtime associate Fred are top notch to work with. I recommend every golfer in Spokane market to golf @ Sundance at least once. A wonderful deck witch views #18 green, is great place to finish the day of golf.
This is a fun course
a few temporary greens because of the severe winter but the course overall is in good condition. Tree lined fairways with many doglegs but if you can keep it out of the wood this course can be had. a great walking course.
Great Time
Staff is the best nothing but helpful,I like playing this course its fast pace it has dog legs, bends just a great time,Greens are nice they will speed up with the weather, back 9 could use some help but over all please go play.
winter damage
Still on three temporary greens, a lot of winter damage in the fairways.
a few holes and fairways are under repair
a few holes and fairways are under repair there were 3 temps and 3 fairways under repair # 10 fairway had sod tore up around 170 to 180
Gorgeous day! Fun round.
Still early for golfing. The course is in good shape considering the nasty winter. Greens are being reseeded; dead spots are being repaired. Still a fun round and very good roll. First time trying the Italian restaurant there---Sundance Bistro---Highly recommend!
The weather was fantastic
Conditions were great play was good the staff was very friendly
Could have not asked for a nicer day!
Pretty good condition considering we are just ending winter here. Not too wet not too dry. Minimal winter kill/fungus.
My Home Course
This is the course that I play the most often. It still has early season conditions with rough greens and not much that defines the fairways since the grass has not grown out enough yet. My only complaint was from another group on the course going too slow and one that was not playing courteously (i.e. not putting the flag down/up). There should be a marshall on the course when possible, but being slow in the early season they just don't have the need for one most of the time.
Great late season conditions
Course in great shape for mid-November. Really well maintained - leaves/pine needles cleared from fairways, greens in good condition. A fun round of golf - challenging but not overwhelming. Need to be able to shape shots to score well.
Great value, greens in really good shape for time of year.
Great value, fast play, mature tree lined fairways keep this coarse challenging.
Hello,
I thank you for your comments.
I am sorry for the delay of your game. I assure you that there was a marshal on the course that day, and I will find out what happened.
Again, Thank you for your comments.
