McCormick Woods Golf Course
About
Since opening in 1987, McCormick Woods Golf Club has garnered titles including "Best Course" and "Most Enjoyable Course" by Golf Digest and Golfweek. It is one of only 10 courses in the state of Washington that are Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries. The stunning layout features natural lakes hidden among beautiful fir and cedar trees. Don't let the scenery distract you though, it's one of the most difficult golf courses in the area. There are significant elevation changes throughout and you'll have to face the occasional blind shot. Though the golf course is challenging, there are five sets of tees so players of all skill levels can play to their abilities. McCormick Woods Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range, two putting greens, and an area devoted to chipping, pitching, and bunker play.

Great Course & restaurant
First time I played and I love it. Back 9 is little bit challenging. But overall course condition was great .
course is tired
McCormick is a fine golf course but is tired and in need of some revitalization. Just seems like it is not receiving the love and care that is necessary to make it an upgraded course. The cart paths are in terrible shape and need to be repaired.
In the rough
spent a lot of time looking for lost balls in the rough. Rough could have been mowed shorter
Beautiful day at McWoods
This course is one of the gems on the Kitsap Peninsula. It is one of the RMG Club courses.. Course condition is very good but the cart paths need work. The course is heavily wooded so balls off the fairway can be easily lost. Pace of play was slow during the round because we were behind a tournament which happens during the summer. Play this course if you get the chance.
Use to be in alot better shape, come on Ryan !
1st time playing here in 10 years. Pretty bad shape, moss on greens, burnt fairways and cracked...Hard pan fairways.Chipping green had 2 large burnt, cracked ugly areas. Of course a tourney going on, when is course and golfnow going to get way to tell ya before buying t-time ??? Skip it and go somewhere else.
Burnt out
Got this on a "hot deal"-- but lots of hardpan-- which is tough because ball will run into trouble. Not unexpected given the weather we are having, but nearby gold mountain was in much better shape.
great course but tough
Really nice course but would definitely ride on this one. Long holes and quite the challenge.
Washingtons Best Kept Secret
I live on the other side of the water and a member a a south Snohomish course. The promotions RMG has with its members is a deal of a lifetime!
Can't wait to revisit RMG.
Tough but fun
Tough course but some fun holes. Probably a good idea to leave the driver in the bag on most holes and get your ball in the right place. Fairways were pretty dried out in many places, so we were hitting off hardpan at times. Pace was a bit slow, but it was a beautiful summer Sunday.
Excellent Facility
Course is excellent. I've played it a number of times but not lately. Definitely want to return. Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful setting. Course is challenging but fair.
Pace of play far too slow
It took just under 3 hrs to play 9 holes with 10 min wait times on every tee box. The pace of play was so slow it would have taken nearly 6 hrs to play 18. Additionally there was no beverage cart and it was over 80 degrees in the shade so we chose not to continue our round after 9 holes. We won't be returning to McCormick woods, there are many other courses nearby who manage there start times and pace of play competently. Not providing a beverage cart on a slow hot day was the icing on the cake that made me wonder if customer service/experience is even a consideration
Fast and Furious
Hard fast fairways and greens. Course was in pretty good shape. A little discombobulated to start with some late reservation people and walk ups which of course offends the "members."
This is a challenging tight course. Keep it in play or you will pay. Do you hear what I say? You could go eat some hay or make things out of clay. You just may....sorry I digress.
Nice Course
Played McCormick Woods as a single, because I was suppose to be paired with a twosome and because of the light rain they didn't show. Played behind a foursome who played pretty quickly. Normally I would try and play through but since I had a threesome behind me and was playing well I didn't push it.
Course was in great shape despite the rain and probably slowed the greens down which were still fast a 11 on the stimpmeter is my estimate. This was my first time playing and the course has man challenges but is a fair course. Because of the time played no beverage cart was on the course.
I would like to play it when its dry to see how well I do. I recommend this course to play anytime.
No beverage cart
The course has deteriorated from the last time I played it over 6 mos ago. Lack of personnel to adequately provide customer service
While We're Young
Probably too much to expect fast play on a soggy Sunday afternoon, but five-hour rounds are ridiculous. Despite the delay and occasional downpour, this remains one of our favorite courses. Nice variety of terrain and hole design (except #9); the course is in good condition; and can't beat the Hot Deal price.
Very nice time.
Rain for first few holes then broken clouds and sun.
Course played well and was interesting. greens were great, fairways generous and well kept.
a beautiful breezy day
The course was in great shape, as usual. The fairways were firm and the greens were fast and firm as well. In fact, it was tough to get the ball to check up. The pace was good and the staff was friendly. Altogether, a great day on thcourse.
good fun course
The course is great. The greens were in nice condition and fairly fast. The fairways were real nice. The cart paths were abysmal, they should just rip out all the asphalt and go to dirt if they can't fix them. Cover your clubs, watch your back and don't have a drink in the cart. Or just drive on the fairway! Tell Mr. Ryan Moore to part with some cash to fix them.
Good Golf
Played this course last year and had to return. My wife and I really like it.
some nice holes and tree lined fairways
I like a course that has character and McCormick Woods has several holes that fit the bill. Front nine is shorter than the back nine but the main thing is to keep in the fairways and you should be able to score well. The course can get wet and soft in the winter but is always playable.
