Peterculter golf course
Had the most enjoyable day Weather was good and pace of play excellent Would play this course again
Great views
Beautiful area. Course fairways very dry and patchy. Very busy which wasn't a problem as lovely day BUT two members hitting up behind us and through us spoilt our game. We were going no where as 4 ball in front of us who had 3 ball in front of them. We accepted was going to be slow why couldn't they. Will not be in a hurry to play again.
Quirky
Too many 4 balls on the course, a lot of waiting between shots and on the tee
However as a high handicapper I enjoyed my round
Lovely course - Worth a visit
Hard to imagine that this course is less than 30 years old - Very mature condition, great condition, especially greens and bunkers. Lots of tricky breaks on the greens gives the course it's bite. Some short holes, but not a pushover. One wrong bounce of an apron of a green could put you out of bounds! Lovely par 5s. Had an enjoyable game yesterday with a couple of guys i was drawn with and despite a few showers, got around dry, and enjoyed a course well worth playing! :)
Excellent
Some of the best greens IV every played at this time of year! Phenomenal considering the weather we have had! Would play again!
Great course and well worth the effort to find
My wife and I played here while visiting family in Aberdeen so this was very handy for us. Great welcome in the Pro Shop, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We found the greens to be some of the best we played during our trip, true and fair. The club is somewhat off the beaten track but well worth the modest effort needed to find it.
Fantastic course
Difficult to find but once I got there.
Friendly & very helpful staff. Best course I have played this season. Will definitely play again.
Thanks for your positive comments Barry.
We are slightly tucked away but now that you know where we are we hope to have you along again soon.
Greens in great condition and a friendly welcome
Thoroughly enjoyed a last minute booking to play at Peterculter. Interesting layout on the banks of the Dee. Course feels very mature despite only being created in 1989. Welcome at the small pro shop was extremely warm and friendly, was even given a gift of a course guide as it was our first time.
Fairways were in pretty good condition, fairly tight with nicely graduated rough. The deep stuff was very deep! Lots of out of bounds on the left all the way round the course - you definitely don't want to have a dose of the hooks! its not stunningly long but the relatively narrow fairways keep you on your toes and the firm greens require a bit of thought to get close. There's some nice elevation change too as you drop down from and climb back up again from the Dee. A couple of the holes channel into a bit of a funnel just after the turn and feel a little claustrophobic but apart from that things are well spaced out.
At £40 each it was a little pricey compared to other deals you can get around the area, but the combination of an interesting course and a high standard of maintenance make it worth it.
Thanks for your positive and fair review of our golf course.
We hope to have you along again in the near future.
Course was well maintained and fairways nice and lush if not a bit tight in places which made hitting driver difficult and you had to choose when you did. Tactical game of golf rather than overpowering the course. Most of the underfoot conditions were hard including the greens so difficult to stop the ball for a mere mortal like me.
I'd play again but not over others if they were available.
Friendly staff in the shop and clubhouse, food was nice.
Thanks for your review.
It can tricky if the Scottish Summer Sun makes it hard but we have a new irrigation system which should stop this ever becoming too much of an issue now that we can control the amount water which we put on our course.
Hopefully see you again soon.
Good value for money in Aberdeen
Having seen this course from several weddings I had attended across the river, I had wanted to tick this one off my Aberdeen list for quite a while.
Have to say I wasn't disappointed, the course is sensibly laid out, fairways are reasonably generous and there is a nice backdrop with the river. I had played Deeside and the Paul Lawrie course before and this was similar and actually I preferred it to Deeside.
Staff were very friendly in the shop and clubhouse.
There were a few areas of the course that looked a bit scruffy but I would put that down to the lack of rain, the greens and tees were like concrete but the roll on the greens seemed true nonetheless.
I would definitely play here again, its tough to find tee times at good courses in Aberdeen and in such convivial surroundings I'm surprised this course doesn't rate higher
Thanks for your positive comments.
We are building a strong reputation and it is encouraging to hear that we are on the right tracks.
We now have a watering system which allows us to stop the golf course becoming hard and bouncy if the scottish summer sun shines.
Hope to have you along again soon
Great Course - only 1 down side
1 down side being, the signage between holes isn't clear, we almost missed out a PAR 3 on the first hole.
I've seen this on a lot of courses around Aberdeen though. There should be a pole behind each green with an arrow to the next hole.
Thank you for your positive review.
We have taken the action and put in a signage post at the back of the second green .
Hopefully see you again soon.
A very well kept winter course
Unfortunately holes 14 and 15 are closed but the rest of the course was a lot of fun. The whole course was very well looked after and the winter greens were excellent, well rolled and had a good pace. We played here during the summer and weren't disappointed with the winter experience. We will return for more rounds.
Thank you for your positive review.
If you enjoyed our winter layout I would encourage you to return and play our full summer course, you would love it.
Hope to see you soon.
Beautiful course.
I was pleasantly surprised that the condition of the course was so good for the time of year. The surrounding scenery was stunning and the design and layout of the course is extremely good. I would happily return and may even enquire about membership.

Charming course great views
Very nice course, in great condition. All staff very welcoming and helpful.
Thanks for your positive comments,.
Hope to have you along again this season.
Nice course with lovely greens
Played this course the day after a family wedding (with hangover) and really enjoyed it.
The fairways were firm and the greens were really good for this time of the year. It's not the trickiest course, suiting good iron players opposed to the big hitters. The views are tremendous, the course was good and staff very friendly.
A great day and I would recommend giving it a whirl. Only thing to spoil it was my wife shooting 4 under par and taking me to the cleaners!!!
Thanks for your review, we are a little tucked away but that is part of its beauty.
Hopefully see you again soon.
