Willows Run Golf Club - Coyote Creek Course
About
Willows Run Golf Club in Redmond offers four courses: two championship 18-hole links courses, a family-friendly par 3, and an 18-hole putting course. There is something for every golfer at Willows Run no matter what skill level. Coyote Creek is one of the championship courses. The par-72 layout is 6,344 yards from the back tees. The golf course has a classic links design that is mostly straightforward but you can still expect some challenges, especially with water coming into play on nearly every hole. There are a few strategically placed bunkers as well as some rough. You'll also face the occasional dogleg. With the terrain being mostly flat, the terrain is easily walkable. The course is approachable for beginners but the nine-hole, par-3 and the putting courses are also good options for new players.

Very slow pace
It was very slow pace. Marshal said scramble tournament ahead of group. Finish just after dusk.
Mixed review
Greens were slow and quite visibly bumpy on each hole. In late August in Seattle, plus the normal green fees that willows run charges, these greens conditions are hard to believe.
Fairways were in good shap, with signature thick rough.
Many areas around the greens were hard pan, burned out and unplayable.
C - grade for willows and coyote this time.
Thankful for golf now rate.
A bice round
Yesterday my wife and I played golf at Willows Run Coyote Creek. The weather was great, course conditions were beautiful, and we even scored well. I recommend Coyote to anyone.
unfriendly staff
Starter was extremely unfriendly.
Good value for the money
This coarse is wide open to go for your drives. The greens are in decent shape. Good coarse for the money.
OK-but a couple of areas for improvement
With unusually hot 90 degree April weather, it sure would've been nice to have benches at the tees but there weren't any. Fairways and greens were good but the rough was not cut and too high for a public course like this. Also, big clumps of grass were left where the rough had been mowed.
THIS COURSE IS IN NEED OF MAINTENANCE
Have played this golf course in the past but this is the first time where conditions were "shabby". The greens were wayyyyy slower than the practice green and need mowing as our balls were fish-tailing to the hole. Downhill putts were left short on a few occasions as the ball just wouldn't roll. The rough was worthy of an US Open as my wrists were hurting after play and needed icing. Was verrry disappointed with the course. Opted for convenience because of the proximity of the course but that was a mistake. Won't be returning until they use the mowers.
Course Needs Work
This course took a beating with the extreme heat last year, and heavy rain this winter. There are some places where there is no grass at all. That said, the main problem is too much grass. The fairways were too long, and the rough was extremely long (lose your ball unless you are standing on it long) , and the rough had heavy grass trimmings piled up that would help conceal your ball if you were in it. This was the rough just along the fairway, so not complaining about rough a mile from the fairway, where a severe penalty is deserved.
Greens were slow but smooth, actually in decent shape.
Need a lot of sand in the bunkers.
Good condition
Course was in good shape as usual. Great value and location but pace of play and issue as always when busy with warm sun out
How is this conditions
This course conditions was no good
Especially fild conditions was no good
Over priced for the conditions
Willows used to be a great course years ago. But lately the course seems to have taken a turn for the worse. There are mole holes everywhere, the fairways haven't been mowed for months it seems like and the rough is so long that balls, that should have been playable, were lost. Some of the greens weren't playable as there were blotchy patches throughout. For the price tag to play at Willows I would expect a better maintenance program in place. You can go play several municipals for much cheaper that are in way better shape.
Stay in the short grass
Tees, mowed fairways & greens in good shape. Rough extremely long. Reminded me of Moses Pointe. Many lost balls.
Greens were not in good shape
The greens looked diseased were just dirt in many spots. Probably wouldn't have been bad except the pin placements had us putting over the dirt many times.
The fairways were in okay shape considering the warm summer weather.
It was a nice, straightforward course. The course guide was really helpful. We had heard the pace of play was slow but we went out early enough where that wasn't really a problem.
Good Course, Very Busy
I really like Williws Run golf complex as a whole, 2 different courses, courses are generally in good to excellent shape. The season and amount of play is starting to show Coyote Creek as some of the greens have dirt spots or a lot of sand. All in all its a decent value but not a great deal. I do however like being able to get a 6 pack of PBR Tall Boys in a Cooler full of Ice for $12, they have the best beer prices of any course in the area. The Snack Shack, Restaurant and Cart Girls are always on top of it with great device. The Pro Shop, Checkin and Marshals are always nice and polite.
What happened to this place?
Unfortunately there is not much good to say about Willows Run anymore. Four years ago this was an above average course but it has been on a steady down hill slide every year since then. The course is in the absolute worst condition of any course in the area even when you cut them some slack for the rough summer we had. The landscaping people leave clumps of cut grass on the fairways that kill what little live grass they have. The greens are diseased and spongy/bumpy from not being properly sanded. There is substantial amounts of geese excrement all over the place. One of their starters needs an attitude adjustment. The greens keeper and maintenance supervisor should be fired. I believe the same ownership group also has Druids Glen and that course is also in terrible shape. Don't waste your money. There are better courses not that far away that don't cost that much more. The only way conditions will improve is if people stay away until it hurts their bottom line.
Slow
The course was in very poor condition and the pace was very slow as well and as a result 3 other groups decided to quit and leave. I feel that this course is not worth my time or money.
Good Layout but terrible course conditions
I have played at this course since its inception in the 1990's. We have had an incredible stretch of warm weather and dry conditions for the last 4 months. But for the life of me you would think we were in the middle of our rainy season. Greens are soggy and spongy at all times. We play golf in rain for 9 months a year and for whatever reason the staff wants us to play in those conditions year round. The tee boxes may be the worst I have played for the money you pay. The layout of the course is a good challenge and when the greens are allowed to dry out are good to very good. Food is good and service is friendly but once you get on the course bring a towel and divot repair tool as you will the conditions plenty wet....Even in this dry summer.
horrible condition! diseased grass everywhere.
Played this course numerous times over the years and it is in real trouble. Diseased grass all over. The geens too. Rough has not been mowed too. Not on purpose, just a lack of maintenance. Clearly lacking money and staff.
Value for the money...Many better choices
Very surprised of the condition especially being an OKI course. I understand it's July and very hot making the course dry. No problem with that, but the greens are absolutely horrible! Very soft and long showing every spike mark with many large dead spots on several greens. This course should be in the $25 range not $50 even playing the twilight rates. Will never play this course again. For similar money play Harbour Pointe, Legion Memorial or even Twin Rivers. Just about any course around is much better for the money.
Poor conditions and slow
This was the slowest round of my life(over 5 hours), no marshal either. The condition of tee boxes and fairways are bald and unkept. The greens are decent and the staff was nice. In my opinion it is way overpriced and I will never golf here again, there are far better courses in the area
