Really good course I didn't realise when I booked 18 holes that it was a 9 hole course but it wasnt a hardship going around twice, it's still on winter tee's and greens but I'll be back to play it when it goes back to summer tee's and greens
Cold wet day
Course was on winter greens and short tees so it was not much of a challenge but I would like to return in the summer months as the full course looks like a good challenge, overall it was worth the £13 green fee
Great little course
Booked and turned up looking forward to what I remembered was a great little course. Disappointed to find out that only 4 of the 9 holes were on summer greens, but thought at least we would still get a game. When we checked in we were told that the winter greens on 5 holes were in play and given a scorecard, but no yardages were given for holes which winter greens were active. Turned out that 7 of the 9 holes were now pretty much par 3’s. From what was seen on our way round, at least 3 of these winter holes had summer greens that looked more than playable for the most part. Granted that 2 of the summer greens that were closed were obviously badly damaged, but with this being said, we felt that there could have been better areas for the temporary greens to be put, 1 of these, I think it was the 5th hole, was just a badly cut bit of rough, the size of a really small tee box and the surface was not worth putting on. We both agreed that when all summer greens were back in play we would love to play the course again, but for people to pay greens fees at this rate, more effort could be made to make the course more playable and as normal as it could be. But all being said, we had 18 holes in glorious sunshine, in a great location. Roll on this place being back to summer greens and a good little challenge.
One of the best in Deeside
Love playing this course. Always immaculately kept and plays really well with a mix of hazards.
Great value for a quick 9 holes
Picked up a hot deal for a great price and played a quick 9. The course was in great shape.
A lovely course
I thoroughly enjoy this course, it was busy enough. Everyone was friendly and the weather perfect.
I'd def play there again.
Great 9-Hole Course
This is an excellent little course near the town of Banchory in Aberdeenshire. I miss the 18 hole course they had, but ever since Paul Lawrie purchased the driving range and 9 hole course it has seen a massive improvement in quality. They relaid all the tees and greens, due to this the greens roll a little slow, but true. Given a few more years I can see the greens picking up in speed and making this a must play 9 hole course.
Disappointing round
Paid and intended to play 18 holes but when we finished the first 9 holes were not given the courtesyof the course. Were expected to queue nehind 2 fourballs who wouldnt let us through. Gave up and didnt finosh pur round.
