Youngy
Good course unfortunately greens look like they are dying in places but overall great value for money and would definatly play again
2 ball
Great little gem .turned up no one around very quiet
Haven't played golf for a couple of months got back into the swing of it .will definitely play here again .greens need a bit of attention .but overall value for money and well worth a trip to play here .
Great experience
Very friendly, challenging but achievable course, well maintained. Excellent value.
Easy Walking
The course was pretty easy with narrow fairways and little or no rough between them. The par 4s were mostly straight holes with very few bunkers although the par 3s were interesting. The greens were very slow and although I played to my handicap (7) the pace of the greens affected the amount of putts taken. The fairways were really good and had just been cut so no complaints. We were informed that a few changes had been made to some holes recently due to flooding resulting in some walking from green to next tee on 2 or 3 occasions. Would not rush back unless the greens were quicker.
Golf At Garmouth and Kingston
Visited with a friend on a nice warm day, Couse is tree lined for the first nine holes and the following nine are on open ground. Course is kept in good condition by a small band of volunteers. I would recommed this course to other golfers and the round was very good value for money.
Great value
Great value for money and would recommend to anyone looking for a game on a short but challenging course
The course condition varied
On the day we played the parkland part of the course was very heavy with clumps of cut grass left where cut, which left the ground heavy and difficult to play through. Also where the pin holes had been changed, some of the previous pin positions were poorly filled in and the area was left raised. My playing partner and I had to remove soil from around the newly cut pin hole on one green before we could putt toward the pin.
Lovely Scenery - unmanned clubhouse
This was my first time playing garmouth, but I’ll certainly return.
A good mixture of short and long holes throughout with excellent points of interest along the way. The 10th is rather confusing which green you’re aiming for, with an unmanned clubhouse and the scorecard not showing a course layout, my SwingU app showed the green to be the 12th (perhaps a recent layout change?).
It would be remiss of me to not mention the 15th which is tight against the river Spey, picturesque to say the least.
I’ll be back soon, thank you
Great natural beauty, a Gem to discover.
The course was overall good, the greens have a lot of moss which had turned black most likely to treatment so I'd imagine that in 4-5 weeks the new grass should show through, greens were slow but again most likely due to treatment, bunkers were raked and presentable. Very quiet on the course during the week. Some beautiful scenery to appreciate. Unfortunately the course has been subject to natural erosion from the river which has eaten into the course.
