Traigh Golf Course
About
This course has some spectacular scenery. Perched on the dunes, it was redesigned and opened in 1995 but of course still offers beautiful settings of the Scottish West Coast at its best.
This 9-hole course plays to a par 68. It's got springy turf and rewards accurate shot making. Low handicappers will be tested at Traigh Golf Club, while less experienced golfers won't feel beaten up. Traigh's main feature is the line of grassy hills, originally sand dunes, which rise some 70 feet. The golf course starts with a challenge, with the first hole demanding a cunning tee shot to the top.

Tricky little course in a beautiful location
Plenty of blind shots on this 9 hole layout built on the side of a hill. The tee shot on the second needs to aim right for the plateau rather than left towards the sea/road. A good tee shot on the plateau sets you up for an eagle chance. It hadn’t rained in a while so greens had browned off a little and were uneven. Fairways were good. Use the first 9 as practice for a serious second 9 holes once you know where to hit the ball.
