The Links at Hiawatha Landing
About
The Links at Hiawatha Landing sits along the banks of the Susquehanna River, nestled between the Finger Lakes and the Catskill Mountains. It's one of New York's premier upscale public golf courses. Despite the name, the course has more of a heathland layout than a true links course since it lacks the seaside location that is the cornerstone of traditional Scottish links golf courses. The design still has many links features though including windswept sand bunkers. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic and the tall grasses make accuracy a necessity. Water comes into play on seven holes but there aren't any forced carries or blind shots, making the golf course approachable for even high handicappers. The Links at Hiawatha Landing finishes with a challenging par 5 that doglegs left around a large pond.

Great Layout!
This course is fun and challenging. The greens are a little on the slow side but in good condition. I really enjoyed this course!
Good value and fun round
Great course with friendly pro shop staff. We were stuck behind a slow foursome with multiple holes open in front of them. I wish we would have had a ranger, but overall great round and value on a course in good condition.
Fun Course for a good price
The course was in great condition in spite of recent rains. Great layout with interesting and challenging holes. Has excellent greens and fair tee boxes. Very good value.
Great, Except Pace of Play
The course is in the best shape I have seen it in a while.
Pace of play was the only issue...no ranger with the course full. There was one foursome holding up 5 groups!
Would return on a less busy time, granted it wasn't a Friday afternoon.
Great course, excellent value
My buddy and I booked a hot deal on a Sunday afternoon for $15 bucks. This was an unbelievable deal as the course was in great shape. If I had to be nit picky the greens were a bit slow but healthy. The pace was 4 hours and the layout was solid. Can't beat that hot deal. Definitely would be back.
Great Course to Play
Great course, in good shape, with very friendly and accommodating staff.
Links Style Play
Great shape, greens are beautiful but prepare for a long day if you don't keep it on the fairway.
Great Value in Binghamton Area
Was in the Binghamton area for work, and booked a great rate on Golf Now for a Tuesday afternoon. Played solo and the pace of play was excellent. Finished my 18 holes in 3 hours. It was cart path only on the front side because of wet, but no big deal. The greens were in excellent condition for mid May in upstate NY. Overall excellent value.
Great Course!
The Links at Hiawatha has always been one of my favorite courses in the Binghamton area. Unfortunately, I hadn't played it in a few years until recently. After my return visit I'm glad I finally got back. It's a great "links style" course. The fescue and natural contours of the land definitely come into play on most of the holes. There's also quite a bit of water on the front 9 to give it a unique feel. My only complaint with the layout is hole #18. While it's cool to look at it's a terrible par 5 finishing hole in terms of playability. The tee box should be moved up 150-200 yards to make it a long par 4. There's nothing wrong with a par 71 course.
The conditions in general were very good for early in the year. Some of the bunkers needed attention/more sand and the fairways were a little shaggy. The greens were a solid "B". I'll be back in the summer.
Great Layout
This course never gets old, you can play many times and you see something new. If you are in the area it's worth the stop. Myrtle Beach course in NYS
Great lay out
This course is one of the best in upstate New York. Great shape and fun course.
Fun golf course
Played from the blues and throughly enjoyed this golf course. Definately need to play from the correct tee box to enjoy this course! Great condition for this time of year!
Excellent Golfnow value!
Unreal to play this course for 13 bucks through Golfnow. Excellent shape considering the dry weather and summer in the area. Slow play due to groups ahead but bearable. Excellent staff and Course as always
Links
One of the best courses in the area, but pace of play was excellent only because we played in the evening. The difficulty of the course can slow play down severely when the course is busy.
Windy Day at the Links
I played this course during a NYSGA event. Pace was slow but this was not the fault of the course - I believe that during normal play it would be just fine. It is relatively easy to find errant shots - it's wide open so pace of play probably isn't an issue. Course was in very good shape except for the bunkers which were hard and in need of a refill. Maybe this is standard for the course - but I didn't like it and given the number of bunkers a factor in play. Practice facilities are above average and a pleasure to utilize. Kudos on this factor, alone. It was very windy on the day that we played and it does come into play. I would definitely like to play this course, again.
Links Style Course
Nice Links style course. Helps to be straight because the rough is thick ands sometimes difficult to find the ball. No GPS on carts so make sure you bring your own. Everyone said they would like to come back which is 2 1/2 hours from Albany
Links
1st one on the golf course, playing alone. Got around in 2:20. Greens were punched a couple of weeks ago but are putting OK. Not perfect yet, but definitely playable. New menu at the restaurant. Very good food.
Best golf course in Broome County, NY
Absolutely, the finest golf course in this area. If you like a challenge this course is for you. It's a fair layout with challenging greens, but you won't be disappointed.
You will use all your clubs, but that's the challenge golfers like. Mark this course as a must play.
