great price. course was in pretty good shape for being December.
I would recommend this course to anyone. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was pretty good. Greens were frozen when I played but still had a great time.
Good Round
This is the second time I've played this course. The weather was overcast but dry. The course played nicely. I gave the course a 4/5 because it lacks certain features, which keep things interesting (water hazards, elevation changes, bunkers in front of the green). However, for the price, this is a great course that is kept in nice shape.
tumwater valley
shape of the course is like many in the northwest--greens slow--but pace of play great
Quality course
Course was in good condition. No need for a cart, would recommend pull cart or carry. No real hazards, basic course that's mostly straight. Fun day of golf. Play wa quite slow.
ok course
Greens were good, but course was kind of a goat track. Rough tee boxes and fairways. In short, an ok course if youre in a pinch.
No Cart
I paid online and when I got there they didn't have a cart ready. In fact the guy before me had waited for an hour and still didn't have a cart. We both had prepaid and they didn't reserve a cart for us. They did give us a free round, but I had to walk. Now in my case walking was not possible because of some boring conditions that I won't go into.
Good Golf
Tumwater Valley is truly the Jewel in the Valley.
Fairways and Greens in excellent shape. Construction on 14 almost complete and no longer an obstacle. Great value.
perfect day
Great day or golf at a great price! Played by myself which is unusual for me but I enjoyed it and had a great round.
course under construction
The course was under construction and we werte not told that two holes would be affected. par 5 was reduced to par 3 and a par 4 was also reduced to a 3. and there was very slow play through out the round. although it was mid morning on Friday.
a few greens were not up to par.. The cousre was in fair to good shape.
Geat loop for the moneyr
Got a tee time the night before since my friend was in town, the birdie bundle. 18, a cart and a sleeve of balls for a great price. The course was good, they are working on a water project and a couple of temp tee boxs were used but still a fun time.
Need improvement
So our original tee time was 845 am as booked on golf now. When we arrived at the first tee for our time and found a three some and another four some. We were suppose to play as a foursome with another two some, however we were told the three some always plays at 845 every morning so the pro shop messed up. So we went out as a two some then joined up with the three some and played with five for two holes and kept up with the group in front of us. The course marshal said we had to break up.
So we broke up. My playing partner and I waited on every shot after that on the front nine for no less than five minutes. Once we got through the front nine and reached the back nine we had to advise the marshal of the extremely slow play. We finally played through and the course was wide open for the back.
Secondly they were having construction on a "water reclamation project" that took two holes out of service. Once being a par 5 and the other being a par 4. The par 5 played 272 yds and the par 4 played 168. They put the tees out in the middle of the fairway on both holes.
Next the greens were terrible. It appeared they had died in some spots as it was just dirt. Greens were very slow and inconsistent and had grass clippings all over. Secondly another worker had a large fan blowing the fairway and numerous times as people were hitting there second shots from the fairway he would be driving right at them telling them too hit.
Finally I paid 11 dollars for two "brats" aka a hot dog with pepper in it. There were not good.
I have played the Valley numerous times in the past and was farely taken back by its condition.
Don't play early!
Played from 8:45 - 1. Course was very wet. No roll whatsoever, but the greens were very fast. Many walkers, but, surprisingly, pace of play was fine. There was construction on 2 holes which shortened them considerably.
Good with special notes...
The course was in pretty good shape and the marshal came around once to check on the pace of play. Although it was near 90 degrees, some of the fairways were wet. Others were brown and dry. It was a similar story for the greens making their speed inconsistent. Several of the holes on the back nine are torn up for a big water reclamation project. There are trenches across the fairway with big taped off areas. This shortened one hole considerably. It looks like the project is going to take a while to finish.
good with deal
The split par three's are nice especially for the novice golfer but I feel the course is a bit over priced
First timer
We went on a Sunday morning and the parking lot was packed. We played a fairly fast round.
A wonderful day
Except for some drainage construction one of the par 5's on the back 9, the course was in perfect shape, the greens ran true and the rough was cut fairly for the average golfer. Staff was very friendly. We had a great time!
Great greens.
Staff was texting on his phone when I checked in. He forgot to give me key for cart, had to go back in get keys and he was still texting on his phone. Was to busy for customers. Will not be back.
Tunwater Valley
An overall great day. Good food, great weather, great pace of play. Not being allowed to take carts to the parking lot was a major hassle. For young & strong, no big deal. For folks in their late 60's, big deal.
great courseto build your confidence
had a great time, staff was super friendly. Paired up with a threesome that were local members who made me feel right at home. Course was not very long ( we played from the white tees ). really liked the fact that some of the par 3,s had dual tee boxes. Nice little course....gonna go back a play it again sometime..it's about a 25 minute drive from my house .

Staff was very friendly, food included was good, course conditions were good but no beverage cart!
