Charleton Golf and Country Club
About
Charleton Golf & Country Club boasts a reputation for being one of the most attractive golf courses in Fife. It sits just minutes from St. Andrews but it offers impressive views over the Firth of Forth that make it a completely unique experience. The parkland layout starts out gently enough but really becomes challenging on the fourth hole, which is a par 5 that plays uphill. There are numerous bunkers strategically placed around the greens and the occasional water hazard comes into play, perhaps most notably on the tricky par-4 11th. The par-4 17th is the signature hole, known for its second shot that is played over a wall onto a narrow green. In addition to the course, Charleton Golf & Country Club also boasts a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course and a driving range.

Very nice course
Excellent course to play at this time of year. A lot of the other courses have winter greens and mats but this course is fully playable. The greens are in very good condition. Will be back again soon
Little gem
Great little course! Great layout and variety of holes plenty chances for birdie but plenty of danger aswell with rough and well placed bunkers and hazards! I know we still in lockdown the course just need a few tweaks with pace of the greens and it will be super! I will be back soon to play again!
Great layout quirky course
Great course layout. Have to keep it in play to score due to very heavy rough and at time’s tight fairways. Good challenge. Greens were slow but acceptable for first week after lockdown! Can’t wait to come back once they have been cut short and are rolling fast. This would top off the experience for me. All in all definitely worth a visit.
Nice layout
The course wasn’t too expensive. However the greens were terribly slow. They haven’t been cut in day. The fairways also a bit long as well.
Disappointing golf experience
Having played Charlton golf course so many times in the past we were so disappointed with the condition of the course which previously had always been in excellent condition and a challenge to play. The only part of the course that almost lived up to previous games played there was the greens. The rest of the course was a mess.
2 ball bounce game
Very wet , little shelter on course. If you are not quite straight on all shots hitting the fairways etc you will lose your ball. Thick long grass down both sides of fairways. Difficult greens with lots of undulations. Good day out.
Gem of a course
Great course. Some challenging holes for all level of golfers. Some Challenging undulating greens. First nine give some great views across the Firth of Forth. Well worth a visit. Not a great club house, but course a credit to the ground staff.
Great course
Played course today great game and course in great condition plus it 52 weeks a year on summer greens when all course in area are on winter greens and mats will def be back
Quality
Small core holes but greens still
In great condition, for £13 hot deal, Amazing value
Top notch track
Excellent course all year round. Uncle n cousin learnt some putting lessons
Charelton golf club
Really nice course enjoyed it alot but unfortunately the clubhouse lets it down. First thing you smell when you walk in is grease and cigarette smoke, so definitely wouldn't eat in the clubhouse.
Gem
Played this today with the wife wow a lovely track it's a good test of anybody's game,.a great course design with risk and reward holes..after the storm Ali surprised to see any trees standing areas of twigs And leaves but never interfered with the game.other courses shut but this little gem was 100% open and playable..don't just pass this course give it a whirl you will love it.and that's from a links fan.
Alterations/improvements
It had been just over a year since I last played Charleton, and I was struck by the changes (for the better!) to the course. The additions of some new bunkers and strategic extra drainage, have made for a far better all round lay out. Will definitely be back.
First time playing
It was a good golf course and enjoyed the golf only thing was that we couldnt get a buggie as course was still soggy nevermind next time we playwe shold get one
Very good course would consider playing it again sometime woul prefered to hav the use of buggy but couldnt as course was in a soggy
Good Day Out
Great track. Very friendly clubhouse staff. Course slightly wet underfoot however despite the days/weeks of rain, course was in really good condition.
