Drumoig Golf Hotel sprawls across 250 acres of rolling countryside inhabited by a variety of different birds and wildlife. The dramatic landscape provides the course with plenty of loch-side fairways and quarry greens. The lochs come into play on three holes, most notably on the challenging par-3 ninth. The difficult tee shot is followed by a tricky shot over the loch in order to reach the green. More advanced golfers will find the back tees provide a good challenge while the front tees are better for beginners. Golfers will also enjoy the views that stretch past St. Andrews Bay and the River Tay to Dundee and Carnoustie. The par-5 fifth is the signature hole of the golf course. The hole, which often plays into prevailing wind, requires a strong drive and a long iron to reach the narrow opening to the green.

Drumoig experience

Excellent value for money, coarse is in great condition especially the greens lady members should keep up with the pace of play or let quicker 2 balls through very frustrating and did not allow us to play our normal game.

Great day

The course was in brilliant condition - greens were running very fast and true. Fairways were lovely and we moved round the course in about and a half hours.

Clubhouse / hotel bar was nice with lively bacon roll and some drinks before we went out and starter was super friendly and helpful.

Holes by the water were really well designed and very exciting.

The bunkers had a strange shale sort of material in them but easy enough to play out of.

Great value for money and would go again.

Turtle Golf

5 hour rounds are not my cup if tea. Waited on every single tee almost always with the group in front and sometimes with the 2 groups in front.
The course itself was know excellent condition as usual.

Only downside to the course was I wasn't allowed a pre round pint at 1045 as they can't sell alcohol before 11.

Fun day in the pouring rain

Started with a lovely breakfast. Although a full Scottish was for hotel guests only the staff kindly catered for our choices.

Rained right round until 17th but course drained well. By the time we got to the 12th the greens started to hold some water which was obviously understandable.

We still walked off wet but with a smile. Very enjoyable considering the weather. Will definitely play again.

Great course

At an excellent price point especially for the area. Greens run true and at a good pace . Fairways wide enough to make it enjoyable. Played the green tees at about 6500yds., Another set of tees further back is available at around 6800yds. Plus two more further front. I would say a very fair course for all levels..

Best value golf in the area.

Played on Monday and, apart from lengthy waits at the water holes, the pace of play was decent.

The course was in excellent condition with the greens surprisingly good considering we haven't seen the sun since 1987.

Played off the yellow tees, as did the three elderly guys in front of us who didn't realise these were the medal tees weighing in at just under 6,900 yards. The par 5s are particularly long with the shortest around 525 yards.

All in all, however, this was a great day out and one I'd be happy to repeat. A buggy is recommended but these are plentiful so there's probably no need to book one in advance.

At £35 for the round and £25 for the buggy, you simply aren't going to get a better day's golf in this part of the world.

Well worth a visit

The course was fantastic, the wind was brutal but it did not detract from some fantastic holes. Had friends up from Manchester and we drove from Edinburgh their feedback was well worth the hour and a half drive
Fairways and greens were true. It is a truly challenging course with some spectacular views listen

Fantastic course, really enjoyed it. It’s a tough test of golf of the yellow tees 7800 yards some monster par 5s as well. Already looking into booking the overnight deal . Would tire of playing that course
