Drumoig Golf Hotel sprawls across 250 acres of rolling countryside inhabited by a variety of different birds and wildlife. The dramatic landscape provides the course with plenty of loch-side fairways and quarry greens. The lochs come into play on three holes, most notably on the challenging par-3 ninth. The difficult tee shot is followed by a tricky shot over the loch in order to reach the green. More advanced golfers will find the back tees provide a good challenge while the front tees are better for beginners. Golfers will also enjoy the views that stretch past St. Andrews Bay and the River Tay to Dundee and Carnoustie. The par-5 fifth is the signature hole of the golf course. The hole, which often plays into prevailing wind, requires a strong drive and a long iron to reach the narrow opening to the green.

Good greens and well maintained course

Unfortunately stuck behind 8 groups of 4 on an outing 2 hours 45 minutes for 9 holes !! Enough was enough ran out of patience and came off at the 9th. Golfers in front of us played worse the more they seemed to drink.

The course was in amazing condition with all greens open and temperature was 2 degrees at the most, we got let off 30 minutes early by the friendly starter. A copuke of nice hole changes since the last time I played the course.

Drumoig Golf

I played Drumoig following heavy rain the day previous. The course for November was in excellent condition the welcome by the starter was warm and welcoming. The only down side which was minimal was the pace of play unfortunately we were a 2 ball behind 3 4 balls who didn't let us play through. Would definitely recommend this great value for money

Interesting course

Quite a long but interesting and enjoyable course. Greens were excellent but some aprons and bunkers could be better. Lunch was just average and hotel looks a little run down.
Overall good value for money.

Drumoig

I can't say enough good things about this course. Layout was superb, variation of holes was great and the greens ,fairways and tee boxes are as good in October as most courses are in July. I was expecting the turn to be the outstanding holes however to say that would mean the other holes were not up to scratch and thus couldn't be farther from the truth. From the 1st to the 18th drumoig was an absolute joy to play and I can't wait to get back. Just wish I stayed nearer and I would become a member 💚

Great Parkland Course

I played Drumoig midweek and really enjoyed my round. The course was well presented and the fairways and greens were in great condition. The water holes around holes 9,10,11 and 18 were a great feature and really made you think about your shot. I will definitely play Drumoig again.

Great course, shame about the members

Course was in magnificent condition. Coming from “down South” it was a delight to play on genuinely green grass rather than desert like conditions after our fierce Sumer sun. Greens were slick and fast, but true and a real challenge. Rest of the course was relatively easy with big, wide fairways that were hard to miss. Lots of variety on the holes which made the course entertaining and interesting. Starter was friendly and helpful, but a three ball group I caught up with on the 3rd green resolutely refused to let me - a singleton - through.. At the end of the round the Starter confirmed they were members. Clearly etiquette does not feature highly at Drumoig!
