wet winter golf
The snow finally melted, add overnight rainfall, result a wet sloppy course. The amazing projected warm weather failed never happened, still playing behind two foursome with a threesome behind meant a 5 hour round.
Good value
Putting and short game area closed currently…. Greens are a lot slower than I remember… always make sure you check wind forecast before booking here
Wet cart path day
After a major rain storm the day before, 2-4 " of rain could not be absorbed by the course. So puddles and soggy fairways, bunkers, but the greens were ok, a little slower than normal.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Stephen called early before the tee time and tell me know the update of the course condition. The chipping area closed. Driving Range iron only. Fun and challenging course when the wind pick up. Greens is fun speed is good as public course.
Winter Golf
Considering it the end of February conditions were great.
aeration soggy fairway
The course was soggy from allthe overnight rainfall, and previous day. The punched greens affected puts, still growing back in. The windy links course as usual, hardly any leaves to be found
Aeration
The weather was good so many golfers were out, and a 1 pm start, so 14 holes by sunset. The grees were still showing signs of aeration, this course is known for tough greens
Nice course in Brooklyn
Good course with nice practice facilities. Good value. Course conditions and cart paths need a lot of with
Spare Time
Was stuck in traffic and thought it a good idea to kill time by playing a round. The lady in the pro shop wasn't very friendly, but the starter was. He arranged for me to get-out with in 30 minutes with two other players who had tee times. One player was running late, so we waited until she showed up and then they skirted off without me. So instead of teeing off at 2:30 we now were assigned a 3pm start. This wasn't too bad, however because of the slow pace of play, it took 2 1/2 hours to get nine holes in.
There were three groups on the 10th tee and another 2 1/2 hours or maybe 3 hours to finish the round would mean we would not complete the final nine hole before sunset. After waiting the other player in my group thought of replaying the front nine, but since this was my first time here I wanted to see the back nine. Instead of playing more I went to the pro shop to ask for a rain check for nine holes. I explained the slow play mentioning we wouldn't complete the round before sunset and was denied a rain check or a refund. I then said I should have been charge a twilight rate.. I went back to the starter, but he was no where to be found to see if he would do something. I finally gave up. It was a nice course in layout, with quick greens and scenic views of Manhattan. But not being able to play the whole course in a reasonable pace left me with bad feelings.
