Heatherwood Golf Club
About
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

Heatherwood in May of 17
Usually only play here once a year...stick to the south shore and east for less traffic. Done in 2hr 15 min! Greens were mint
Great Greens!
The fairways and greens are in GREAT shape. The cart paths are pathetic - need lots of work.
I got there about 90 mins early to practice my putting and chipping - was told that I could only show up 30 mins before tee time - I had never heard that before. But, they let me practice so that was ok. Course was empty until the 4th hole - then a foursome of ladies slowed us up a bit. On the 9th hole, a group of 4 hacks cut in front of us and they were very slow - not the course's fault. The layout of the course is weird. The turn is between 8 and 9. You have to travel from the clubhouse, down the 9th hole if you want to play the back 9. Otherwise, very nice course. Would play again and would recommend a hot deal ($15 for 18 - vs $38 for twilight at 4pm)
Good value
Nice executive course, great value with a hot deal.
Awesome
Great course and great day to play! The course is always fun and the pace is great. Overall a great experience.
Great little course
Awesome course and great pace! Wish they had a couple water coolers in the middle of the course.
Great
Love this course. Lacking ball cleaners but still early in the season.
Heatherwood First Time
Took my wife and I out today. Good course to practice your irons. Great course for a beginner , Tee boxes need work. The grounds crew and starter was nice and comadating.Explained to them that I have a beginner. They said if your beginner feels rushed to go see them. Understand that the course won't be in top shape unitl June. Will definitely be going back. Greens were hoping and I understand cause of the winter.Greens were reading true speed. Thanks everyone at Heather Wood.
playing jan 4?
wow able to play on jan 4 course in great shape and pace of play was fine
Challenging
You can't let the par 60 fool you into thinking that this course is easy. Yea there are alot of par 3's. However pin placement on them makes you have to hit shots. Greens were in good shape and ran true. Considering it was January, the course was in fairly good shape. If you haven't played it before, you should check it out. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Great for short game
The course is great for working on the short game, the only downside was that other players did not fix their divots or rack traps. The overall course was in great shape and well maintained.
Heathewood in Fine Shape
Great afternoon on a well kept course. It's nearing the end of the season but the course is in great shape. Greens were not aerated and i good shape.
Heatherwood Golf Club
Played this course today and found that the greens had just been air rated, a lot of sand on the greens, putting was a challenge.
The fairways were in great shape, and the course has a lot of large trees. There are two small water hazards that are directly in
Play. The greens are large and are protected by some large bunkers. I played this course 1week before this date, before the air ration, and the greens were in great shape. The course has 6 par 4's, and 12 par 3's for a par of 60. The staff is very friendly, and the onsite restaurant has very good food at reasonable prices.
Hidden Gem
I took a chance on this course and was very surprised. I have never played it and being only a Par 60 and Golfnow Hot Deal for $14, I couldn't pass up on it. Sat afternoon at 1:52, we were in a 3some and played the front nine in 1hour and 15 minute but hit a back up on 10. the next 3 holes which were Par3,3,4 took almost 45 minutes. We decided to skip back to 5 and played it through to 9. I thought all the holes I played the greens and fairways were in great shape. The teebox however needs some work.
Great course
Great course for beginners like myself, a ton of par 3's mixed in with a couple par 4's. Everything was in good condition. Just make sure you don't get stuck behind a large group otherwise you'll be waiting at every hole

The course is great for the price. Excellent to work on your short game. I had the luxury of playing during the rainy and windy conditions from the hurricane( tropical storm). There was no one but me when I got there. I played 10 holes in an hour and 15. Then the wetness got the better of me. Even though I only played 11 holes it was well worth it. I felt like the priest from caddyshack. No lightning of course. Two thumbs up.
