northern pines cicero ny
Weather was hot/humid, had a few showers for a brief
moment. It was the day after heavy rain storm, but fairways were decent only few wet spots. Greens in good shape. Did not have any issues if on the fairways, drainage was good. Would recommend.
Good course for the money
Played on the hottest day of the year.
course was in good condition with spots of water damage. Greens were at the best I've seen for the course all year
golfing at Northern pines
My friend and I golf every week at Northern Pines and have the best time. The help is excellent and that means a lot to us plus the course is in great shape considering all the rain we have had. Keep giving us bargains and we will keep golfing at Northern Pines.
Northern Pines is a nice course, two of us played a round in about 3:45. Course was well maintained, and the staff took good care of us. We will definitely be back.
This had potential to be outstanding. It had rained a lot previous so bunkers were unplayable. Greens were great and held good shots
Nice course, friendly staff
Course is in great shape. Fairways are cut tight, greens are fast and true. Not good for walking as distance from green to next tee can be quite long.
Very friendly staff.
Great course! Challenging and rewarding. Very well manicured. Tough greens on the back 9 make for a challenging round. Will definitely be playing this course again!
Spring Golf Conditions Noticeable on Back Nine
We experienced reasonable conditions on the front nine, in particular the greens were in very good shape but not fast. There is a chronic water accumulation on a few holes on the back nine, which should be addressed.
Excellent executive course
Great course to play-in very good condition-only a few holes are wet. Most are very playable. Greens in good condition-fair to putt. Very little sand or water to cause difficulty. A pretty course-enjoyable to play. Not too challenging or too easy-just right. Cart preferable as walking 18 could get tiresome.
I like this course and have played it 4-5 times last year. First time out this year, the course is wet. Casual water in a lot of areas. If you can naviagate the watery conditions and the cart path only issues with distance, it is a fun course to play. Lots of plugged balls, mud balls, etc.
For very early spring - this course was ideal
Traveled down from Canada to play a couple of rounds before our courses open up north. Course was well maintained and greens were very good for the time of year. Yes, the fairways were very soft, but after 5 months of snow, this was a great weekend and a chance to play a new course with a nice layout. We'll be back!
picked the wrong day, since it was chilly and rainy so could only do 13 holes before conditions put a halt to our round
course has lots of hills that run along side the fairways, if you go a rye you will be shooting on the side of those hills
well kept course-good value
the greens are tricky. word of advice be below the hole if you want to score well. seems to play longer that the yardage markers say. hit an extra club or two.
A Little Rain and Rumble of Thunder but able to finish
We enjoyed our game here. The weather was iffy so it was not busy. Even so, a pair of walkers held things up on the front 9. The greens and fairways are in good shape and there are lots of interesting shots. The greens are small and have elevation changes.
Nice course, good for walkers
Great value for the money. Staff was very pleasant. Lots of sand traps. Has left to right and right to left. It can be intimidating for first round player. Grounds nicely kept . Greens perfect condition. Would definitely play here again.
Course management let 4 person scramble (6 foursomes) out during regular play slowing things down considerably. If they are going to do this they should close the course for an amount of time and use a shotgun start for the scramble. Everyone was complaining. It would be great if Golf Now had more courses in the Syracuse, NY area.
fun with a couple tuff holes
The course was well maintained and greens held your shots. there was a couple of fairways where you had to control your distance. That is fun for the first time golfing the course. Greens rolled true and I had fun playing the course.
Lots of sand, I think I tested all the traps. Greens were in great condition.
