Scramble
Course management let 4 person scramble (6 foursomes) out during regular play slowing things down considerably. If they are going to do this they should close the course for an amount of time and use a shotgun start for the scramble. Everyone was complaining. It would be great if Golf Now had more courses in the Syracuse, NY area.
fun with a couple tuff holes
The course was well maintained and greens held your shots. there was a couple of fairways where you had to control your distance. That is fun for the first time golfing the course. Greens rolled true and I had fun playing the course.
Great Course
Lots of sand, I think I tested all the traps. Greens were in great condition.
Fun course
Northern Pines is a nice course. Greens in excellent condition and fairly quick. The fairways were in great shape as well. Staff is friendly. It only cost me $13.80 with cart through GolfNow.
Great Value
This was the first time I played here. For the $23 with cart, it was a great value. The course was in decent shape, the fairways were shaped and contoured. The greens were firm but held the golf ball and putting was true. Greens were not overly fast but decent. I played from the blues, which was 6500 and it was a fun round. I would go and play there again.
LACK OF DRAINAGE MADE FOR A POOR ROUND
It was a beautiful day and it hadnt rained for several days. Thursday Friday and Saturday were all gorgeous days with good breezes. You'd think it would dry the course out pretty quickly. This was not the case. Many other courses around the area drain much better than NP.
The greens were in decent shape despite a tough winter for many courses. The course plays too difficult from the blue tees on the front side...350 yards longer than the whites, and many of the tee shots are too closely guarded by trees, such as on number 12. The tee box is way too small as well. I had to stand off of it to take the correct launch angle for my draw.
May 2014
Early in the season, course was flooded troughout. Half of fairway shots were plugs. Should be better.
