Bristol Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Center
About
Bristol Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Center is situated just 30 minute from the suburbs of both Milwaukee and Chicago. It is popular among locals for being one of the area's best values. Despite its convenient location, the course feels tranquilly secluded thanks to the miles of picturesque countryside surrounding it. Mature trees dot the rolling landscape, coming into play along the fairways and framing most of the holes. Water hazards come into play on four holes. Strategically placed bunkers are also lurking near most of the greens. The golf course is challenging but offers a playability that makes it appealing to a range of skill levels. Four diverse sets of tees make it even more approachable. There is also a lighted grass driving range and expansive chipping and putting areas available at Bristol Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Center.

Since mid-70's
The course has matured nicely since I started playing there 40 or so years ago
Poor conditions
Fairways were in bad shape.... Golfed in May there were a ton of weeds. Grass was overdue to be cut made it hard to find ball even if was on the fairway.. Also the greens were terrible.
Wide Open Joy
It was a Thursday afternoon first week of may blue skys 82 degrees and 20-25 mile winds SSW it was a challenge to tweak your clubs to beat the wind and get distance fairway were cut well with no clumping and the greens were cut short and were clean and fast. Cart girl came by every three holes. Over all a great day. The only down is they don't sell cigars!
Good value. Public course, where you get what you pay for.
Course was not in good shape, but still early in the season. Slow pace of play. Seemed like a lot of beginner golfers on the course. They had a ranger, but he couldn't do anything about the fivesome slowing everyone down. Good burger at the outside grill at the turn.
First outing of the year
Things should get better as the grass grows and the leaves leaf out.
good value old school course
nice old school good layout go play you will enjoy
Good course for money
I play the course often. its good play for the money. the only thing I did not understand is that it cost more to book through golfNow than book on their website or phone.
Fun course but lots of leaves
Played 18 holes with my grandson and really enjoyed the day. The greens are pretty hard and difficult to hold a shot on, and there are lots of leaves in many areas. It's that time of year. We applied the leaf rule a couple times and didn't take penalities for balls we saw land in the area of leaves but couldn't find. For October it was a great day of fun. For those who haven't played Bristol Oaks, it's not a real long course but it is challenging with hard dog legs, and elevated greens. A great course for the money.
Nice course
Was a nice course everything was cut nice the greens were very hard and fast so putting was very difficult. Overall very nice.
A great place to play golf.
Pace of play was good, and all players were jovial and having a good time too. Would like to play more when weather allows.
well maintanined
I played this course many times in fact, my favorite.
The course is well maintained and the people are
cordial and friendly. The course is playable but challenging. I always enjoy this course.
I made reservation to play today at 7:12AM but, something came up and I was not able to do it. Too bad I cannot call to cancel to reveres my credit card charge.
Really ??????????
So I had a tee time of 10:02 on Labor day so I was expecting a long round. Got there at 930 went to tee and already way backed up with no starter in sight. They had tee times off 955, 957, 1000 and 1002. Now I understand that its labor day and people wnt to get out and play but 2 mins in between tee times with no starter? WOW Also they had no keys for carts so we had to wait few mins for someone to finish up. This place is horrible and will never be back. Drive 20 mins up the road to Brightondale much better staff. Also had a brat from outside was worst brat have ever had. If Brat Stop was smart they would pull there product from this place. I know what a Brat stop Brat tastes l;ike and this was not it.
old course with great potential
course has potential, but has no personnel. Seemed very odd there were no starters or rangers on the weekend. Pace of play was slow. Also the grass needed cutting everywhere, including fairways and tees. Played this course a few times this year, and the pace is always slow. Getting disappointed in this course.
Short Easy Course
The course is fairly short (about 6100 yds) and fairly easy. Tee boxes were unkept, with long grass and very patchy. Fairways were in good conditions but many of the greens were ok/poor. I moved my ball on 2 greens because old holes were in my line that were poorly filled with sand. If you are looking for a fairly easy course to play where you can score well, play here, but don't spend too much. At the right price I would play it again.
OK for a local course
We drove from Milwaukee, especially as it was a Golfnow deal. Not sure I would pay full price to play it again. Pace of play was slow and no marshall to encourage the left-right people to speed up or let people through. The beer was good at the end of this.
Place needs help
This course was improving last season and now it seems to be getting way out of shape again. High changeover rate with the staff. Tee boxes are trashed, old cups are not repaired properly. The traps are in fairly good shape although a little to firm. They've been working on this stupid little bridge for over a month now. Whoever that is running the kitchen needs an attitude adjustment.
Enjoyable course and club
Played from the blue tees. Very nice. Will definitely play again. Well maintained and plenty of natural beauty. Friendly staff and drink prices are very reasonable.
gorgeous
Beautiful course...friendly golfers and great carts.i will be back
couse review
havn't played for a few years but still find it alot of fun to play
Very Dry
Beautiful course but dry as the desert. They don't water very much and it showed. Tee shots would get an extra 50 to 100 yards depending on tragectory. Hitting off the fairway was like hitting of concrete. Hitting onto the green was very difficult. No signs of airriation but the greens had been top dressed. Rooster tails of sand on long putts. I've played there before under beautiful conditions, this time was not as nice.
