great 9 hole course
Course is in excellent condition, very well maintained. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. We always play this course when we are in the area.
Charming and Challenging
I had a great time at this course and shot one of my best rounds. I’ll be back for sure. And Jameson is a sweetheart.
Great course
Great 9 hole course for all skill levels. Whenever we are in the area, we love to play it. Staff is extremely friendly, and they even have a dog that greets you in the parking lot and escorts you to the first hole!
Executive 9 hole gem in Copake
Super cool course with par 3’s and 4’s. Found the greens are in great shape but have some tricky undulations including #3 green! Due to no rain the fairways are pretty burned out (and you are told when checking in to stay in the rough except for 1 or 2 holes where you have to cross the fairway to get to your next hole). Overall a super experience with option of a cart or pull carts (I wish I could do the walking but I can’t).
Picturesque holly yet walkable 9 hole course
Total delight to have this course in one's mix to visit several times a year. Jameson the official greeter (a 4-legged) sets the tone
Nestled against a range of hills, Undermountain is a beautiful small course. It is almost a par 3 course, though slightly bigger than that. It is a great course to practice your short game. You do need to play strategically, because the greens can be tricky, and are often pretty small, so that, although you might be able to get to the green in one, the likelihood of actually staying on the green is not that easy to do.
The staff initially couldn’t find our reservation, but eventually did, and was very friendly and helpful.
Hidden Gem
If you like to play golf for fun then Undermountain is for you. It is a 9 hole course that is very interesting and in excellent condition. The holes are short but very tricky. The people there are very friendly and it is fun for all skill levels. I played collegiate golf at UConn and was put to the test trying to make pars on 200 yard par 4's. If your approach isn't perfect it stays short or rolls off an edge of the green. Kind of like Donald Ross on steroids. We both will be back and we will bring some friends. Thanks Undermountain
