Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

Good course but pricing could be better
Course was well maintained however $74 for 18 holes and then another $20 (or $30 if riding solo) is definitely on the higher end price wise. The starter was cranky / obnoxious when it came to riding in a cart by myself. (I was part of a group of 3 and did not know if our 4th was riding or walking). He tried to tell me that I would need to ride with the other person in the group but I was charged the solo cart rate and thus refused. It’s not my fault the golf course decided to sell some of their carts, and might not have enough.
Too expensive for the track
When you have a foursome on a Sunday morning in front of you that simply cannot play the game. Taking 3 or 4 mulligans off the tee is simply unacceptable. Where is the Ranger to stop this type of playing. The course was completely backed up.
Pretty good
Let me start with it was a good round. Fairways and greens were in very good shape. The ruff is another story. Its a about 2 ft of grass and then hard packed dirt/sand to the tree line. Traps were nicely groomed not a lot of rocks. Dont even bother looking for a ball in the woods, a lot of poison ivy. Played early 7:30ish and half way through had a landscaping person on every hole and they drive right up behind you when trying to make a shot and then idle or would just park in the middle of fairway while trying to tee off, thinking they're out of range, which they were but i dont want to strare at a person on a lawnmower in fairway. I get that course has to be maintained but it was just too much for middle of round 9:30 am. All in all good round, there are better courses in the area but you'll pay more for that reason.
Terrible staff
I walked into the golf club house to ask for a cart. This old white guy started pressing me over my name. I said I would like to pay for a cart he goes do u ever walk into a restaurant and ask for food. Like yes???? He stood quietly, looking at me with disgust, if I didn’t pay online I would’ve walked out of there. Then I’m going to the first tee and this old white guy in a cart yells at me like I’m his dog. I’m not coming back here again.
There are very slow groups that need to respect others
Over Priced Trash
There’s no reason to ever play here other than you just want to burn money. At this price it’s insane. There is plenty of other really nice golf courses in the area for the same price with 10000% better conditions.
Don’t Play Here
I’ve pleated here twice in my life and it’s safe to say that I won’t be playing a 3rd. They just upgraded their fleet of golf carts when they should’ve upgraded their cart path (it’s non existent). Sand traps are rockier than the north shore beaches and tee boxes look like the beaches on D-day.
Cart Fees
The Golf Now site states $15 for the cart. we had a party of 3 they charged $20 each for 1 cart and $30 for the second cart. Very misleading.
Pine Ridge
The course isn't horrible but when you compare it to other courses based on the price for the conditions, it is very sub par. Should be $40 to play but it's like $70. Would recommend anywhere else for that type of price. Not too bad though in general. If its close by and you have the money you can give it a try.
Terrible
10 years ago, yeah this place was nice. Well kept. Since then it’s been crappy at best. Tee boxes are bad, fairways are OK at best. Greens are terrible. Rough is bad. Everything is sub par.
And on top of that green fees they ask way too much for what theyre dishing out..
Just stay home
Sprinklers
These guys have nerve to charge 80 for a round and have the sprinklers running all day every other hole you’re hitting to the sprinklers
