Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

Petew
Too bad the course wasn’t in better condition. The fairways and roofs are terrible. Some tea boxes are horrible. Definitely not some thing that’s worth the time or money.
Disappointment.
I am sorry to say this but Pine Ridge was a huge disappointment. Positives are we were able to play right after a couple of days of rain. We decided to give it a shot because there were no real options early on the day. The course was wet and there were no carts allowed. The course manager called me to let me know it was walking only. That’s a huge positive for customer relations. Greens were a bit slow but in good shape and bunkers were nicely raked and pretty dry. There was a lot of sandy spots off the fairways as usual but the lack of fairway grass and conditions of the tees really were despicable. If there was attention being paid to these faults the place would be a better alternative. They need a total fairway and tee replanting including crab grass management. They should also try to stop the balls from kicking into the tree line. Adding rough should help. Removing underbrush in the woods would help pace of play which from other reviews can be ann issue. Unfortunately it seems these issues aren’t being addressed. Let’s hope they stay open and make the reinvestment to improve a once nice course.
Rip Off
The price is theft for what you are getting. They charge 'prime-time' prices all season, up-charge single rider carts, keep unkept bunkers, is filled with patchy fairways, and the bar may or may not be open.
Restaurant closed on a Wed in August. Halfway house closed. No cart girl. Tee time 1:00. Could not get any food or drink at all. Ridiculous
They need a greens keeper who actually knows what they are doing.
Worst greens I have ever seen as they are all diseased
Will not be going back
Not worth the money
Course is in shambles, the bunkers are just dry mud. Beer cans in a lot of places.
Good course to enhance your skills, plays slow .Just very expensive, for the same price there are better courses near by.
Not worth the $$
This course probably was very very nice a one point
It’s a shame it’s in such bad shape
The greens were fine
Tee box not good at all
Just a waste
And one eye Willy isn’t very pleasant about giving out carts !!
Course overall horrible shape. Green, tee boxes, fairways, especially sandtraps!
and to charge $30 for the cart?
I won't be back anytime soon
Very disappointed
The pace of play was terrible. Tee time was 11:43, didn't finish until 4.50. Also the fairways were in terrible shape, lots of hard dry ground. The sand traps were hard and most didn't have a rake. Also the cart fee was $30.00, that's extremely expensive. I don't think I would play there again. Course has lots of potential.
Pace of play sucked
5 1/2 hours to play a round did great but need to step up when group ahead of you is taking 12 tactics swings before they hit !!!
Good course but pricing could be better
Course was well maintained however $74 for 18 holes and then another $20 (or $30 if riding solo) is definitely on the higher end price wise. The starter was cranky / obnoxious when it came to riding in a cart by myself. (I was part of a group of 3 and did not know if our 4th was riding or walking). He tried to tell me that I would need to ride with the other person in the group but I was charged the solo cart rate and thus refused. It’s not my fault the golf course decided to sell some of their carts, and might not have enough.
Too expensive for the track
When you have a foursome on a Sunday morning in front of you that simply cannot play the game. Taking 3 or 4 mulligans off the tee is simply unacceptable. Where is the Ranger to stop this type of playing. The course was completely backed up.
Pretty good
Let me start with it was a good round. Fairways and greens were in very good shape. The ruff is another story. Its a about 2 ft of grass and then hard packed dirt/sand to the tree line. Traps were nicely groomed not a lot of rocks. Dont even bother looking for a ball in the woods, a lot of poison ivy. Played early 7:30ish and half way through had a landscaping person on every hole and they drive right up behind you when trying to make a shot and then idle or would just park in the middle of fairway while trying to tee off, thinking they're out of range, which they were but i dont want to strare at a person on a lawnmower in fairway. I get that course has to be maintained but it was just too much for middle of round 9:30 am. All in all good round, there are better courses in the area but you'll pay more for that reason.
