Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Great shade trees
Great golfing and great shade trees on a sunny day. Sometimes the trees impeded the progress of my ball SMH.
Country club setting
It was a hot day so hard to compare, but the place is very cute set in a suburban Westchester nest of fairly upper-middle-class residents. There are a lot of facilities for the area residents, e.g., big pools, tennis, restaurant, community center, etc. There are even shuttle carts to bring people to their cars. The clubhouse is way back from where I parked. I was a little tipsy/lost and as this was a private club signage was absent for good reason! The cart are newish, the 'range' is really just for warming up with a wedge and balls that fly shorter. The course layout uses doglegs and trees to defend Old Man par. Well-maintained for the budget and market. Very nice setting a bit provincial and charming for a place so close to the Big Apple.
Long Par 3's
A great course that will challenge every shot shape that there is. A healthy amount of risk and reward. Repair your pitch marks or you'll be cursed forever.
Great for beginners
There is no difference white and blue tee(very close) and par 4 is usually 280- 350yd. However par 3 is over 200yd. I would say the course is tiny funky. Easy, clean, and short.
Good course but not fair for women
Women get 5 feet of yardage on this course vs the men - it’s really not fair for the women for this reason (when you’re trying to beat the guys in your group!). Otherwise, it’s a nice course in good condition.
Great time
Great course for the price, green we’re soft and a good speed.
Nice course but could use a cart person
Nice course but could use a cart person and more drink selections at the turn.
