Lots of water
Surprisingly challenging. Loved the challenge. Bring extra balls. Very friendly staff. Great conditions!
Slow greens
I have played this course 4 years in a row and it is getting better every year. The greens are plush but extremely slow. Rumor is they they will cut them in the fall. Can’t wait.
Course is in really good condition
This new ownership has really done a great job at getting this back in good shape. Greens are green and lush, but a little on the slow side. Did I mention they were super green and lush! I Will definitely be putting this course back on my course play rotation.
Great place
Everything was great. Best course for the money enjoyed a great day of golf
Great Course
Five stars in every way, the only negative thing was that it was 90° outside and the cart girl called in sick so there were no beverages or snacks available on course and had to be done at the turn. It would have been ok if we knew, but the starter told us she was out on the course when we tee’d off at 10:23am.
Slow slow slow
I played this course again this week after playing several weeks ago , SLOW SLOW SLOW , slow number 1 the pace of play was painstakingly slow 3 hours and 45 minutes in and still have 5 holes to go we called it a day , no ranger to try to keep the pace of play, as many as four groups on one hole waiting we started play at 1:45 , to make the the waiting worse we never saw a beverage cart , slow number 2 although the greens were in great shape after the horrible shape they were in a year ( they did a great job getting them back) the rolled extremely slow always have been, slow number 3, at the turn we stopped to pick up a drink from the club house God knows we had enough time with three groups on the 10th tee box , it took 15 minutes for us to get a drink , we were at outside bar and a bartender with zero personality looked at us several time while she messed around with some glasses under the bar 🤷♂️finally had to ask if we could get a drink please, still 2 groups on her tee box ! On the plus side they have a great range membership program for a good price also we stopped in the bar to drowned our slow sorrows and order a pizza to go , pizza was great , live music , beer was cold bartender had zero personality! We will be back for food and range golf not so sure to play golf last three round over 5 hours !
Excellent Choice
We had 8 players and had a great time. The staff was very helpful and the pace of play was under 4 hours for 18
Challenging But Enjoyable Course
I had 4 cousins from Montana that have only been able to play on a simulator for the last 4 months. The each said it was the best course they had ever played. We had two foursomes and played best ball to maintain the pace of play. Everyone had a great time and the staff was very courteous. One of the cousins brought his son, so we had to rent an extra cart, but it worked out just fine.
Greatly Improved
We have played Cimarrone for over four years. During the past year the new owners have invested in the course conditions as well as restaurant/bar. Prices have also risen because the investments, but it’s worth it.
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape.
Great conditions and layout. Best course in area!
Course conditions great, greens very lush, but slow and fairways and tee boxes green and nice. Front 9 slow, waited on every hole, back better as people left after 9. Lots of water, bring extra balls.
Improved a lot
There were a few tee boxes that were really bare. Fairways were in great condition. Greens were slow but very playable. Overall, they’re definitely making some great improvements. Will be back again.
STEVE
Course is in great shape. We played the back nine holes.
The new clubhouse and restaurant is really nice.
Could Be A Great Course
As a player you can't help noticing a few course condition issues that distract from a great layout. First, the pluses. The tees were in good condition and grassy. The fairways were in good condition and fast. The greens were in great condition, held good shots and putted true. What distracts and perhaps the average player is the water that appears on virtually every hole. While what will distract and negatively impact their performance are the bunker traps which lack sand. Grooming silty dirt is not the same as well groomed sand. And not putting sand in the bunker traps is not the same as having waste bunkers and not something you characterize as being an attribute of a "links" course.
Improved
I played here many times they have made significant improvements over the past year. The greens are particularly good. The price has gone up significantly, but I guess it’s worth the improvements.
