New layout

The course has been revamped, with new holes at 8, 9, 10 and 11. This extends the course to almost 6k yards but believe plays longer as the wind is never calm. The Buddon is a true links, located on the sea shore adjacent to its famous neighbour and debatable the most challenging course in the world, Carnoustie Medal. Don't ever underestimate the Buddon, playing the first 6 holes into the prevailing wind is tough and complete these with your score in tact and you've done well. The course moves into a more parkland feel at 7, 8 and 9 with the famous Buddon burn meandering throughout before larger lakes come into play at 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th. The final stretch is where the score can be made - 16th is a short par 5 but lookout for a tricky green. 17 is a short par 3 but again tricky green. To me 18 is disappointing, one deep bunker green side and heavy rough down the right, plenty room left and onto 1st fairway.
All on it's a great wee course and recommended if you're looking for true challenging links golf.
