First time playing here

Nice scenic course in a beautiful part of the country. Interesting holes throughout. Fairways in excellent condition but some of the greens need attention.

Well wort it

First if all, I can't comment on the off course facilities as they were closed due to being a small club and current restrictions. DO NOT LET PUT YOU OFF! We arrived early and had the pleasure of chatting to members, all very friendly and happy to help. Can imagine this is a proper friendly golf club.
The course, enjoyed it immensely. Do not let the length put you off. Protects it's par incredibly well. On an October day, you can imagine the colours of the course. Beautiful. Genuinely can't think of a bad hole. Be tidy off the tee so you have a good 2nd shot. And you require a good 2nd shot to hit the greens. Very well guarded greens. The greens had been hollowtined, perfectly acceptable for this time of year. And a good job had been done on them. Maybe be mindful that the toilets are closed, plenty around the main part of the beautiful wee town of Callander.
The par3 16th is a true a test of golf as you will face. A definite card destroyer if played incorrectly. I can cinfirm that.
All in all, a really good value, well presented golf course. Most definitely will be back. Lived every minute of it.

What a great day

Superb conditions and friendly welcoming staff - the course is going through changes with a new clubhouse planned and the old one being sold privately. Really great experience on a shorter (par 66) But challenging Course in a beautiful part of the world. Well worth a visit from Glasgow and we shall be back. Cannot recommend it highly enough especially the 15th - a short hole through a 10 metre gap in the trees!,

Getting back to it's best

A fabulous and fun course designed by Old Tom Morris set in the beautiful Trossachs with stunning views. There isn't a dull hole. While it's not long, you will need a good short game as the greens are small: fast golfers can get around in less than 2.5 hours if you aren't held up.

It has suffered in recent years but the course is returning to it's former glory. The greens have improved dramatically and are very true, with the fairways and fringes beautifully presented. Well worth a visit.

Callander golf course

Nice course layout but the first 9 holes greens were threadbare with almost zero grass on them. Evidence of grass seed but no grass. Why in May has it not been done earlier?
Very slow play by 4 ahead with poor golf etiquette , taking 10 minutes searching for balls.

Visited the course before and always enjoy the experience. Booked a 'twilight' time at 3.30pm and completed the round in daylight given the time of year.

Local course

This course is showing signs of needing some TLC. When we played the fairways were quite hard to distinguish from the first cut. Some areas were wet although there had been no rain for a week or more. Allot of par 3's that were quite long considering the overall length of the course. Greens were in average condition and slow. Overall for the money paid it was acceptable but would not rush back.
